Spring!

It's so sunny today I really feel like spring may come after all. I guess I'm not the only one that feels it's been a long winter. Next Friday at work we're supposed to dress for a "beach day" ....no, I'm not going to wear a bikini! Maybe sandal's,t-shirt, and sunglasses. That's as beachy as I'll get this time of year. It should be interesting to see what people wear!
I have been playing in my craft cave today while Brent takes his final snowmobile trip for the season this afternoon. I guess it's supposed to really melt this week and he thinks today is his last shot for a good ride. Let's hope so anyway. That leaves me free to make some things I've been meaning too. Like Easter cards. I felt like using some soft spring colors, so I used some pink pirouette to make this card. I cut out a flower from the tea party paper and backed it on some more pink, sponging the edges with pink pirouette ink. For good measure I also inked the oval and tag...and around the edges of the card. I love the wide pink ribbon and just had to add a cord summer sun button in the center of the flower. I think I need more cord buttons...like the chocolate chip. I find I use them alot, it adds alot of texture. I am finding lots of uses for the Good Egg stamp set too. I can't believe I waited this long to order it. I have some friends coming over in a couple weeks and we plan to make good use of this set that day. The chick is so cute and I love the "happy easter."
I'm out of ink for my printer and need to run and get some. I need to print off a few recipes for some 6x6 recipe cards I plan to make...check back this week if you want to try something new for dinner! Or dessert....

So nice. I like the square shape, the cut-out flower and the large ribbon.
