Textured cardstock

This was a fun card to make. I am really into SU sizzlet dies and the little leaves die is so pretty. I really like using my Bigshot. I love my Cuttle Bug, but honestly the Bigshot is so much easier and faster to use. It just glides through! But when friends are over making projects, both get a work out.

I wanted to use one of the Fleurette flowers to add to the leaves, but the center was riding hood red. It wouldn't work with my card. So... I took my 1/2" circle punch and punched a piece of the Parisian Breeze card stock and then added the half pearl to cover the red. It worked perfectly.

I used baja breeze and kraft card stock along with the textured Parisian Breeze for this 4x4 card. I am SO glad SU added textured card stock this year. I've been very impressed with the packs I ordered...so pretty! The stamp is one I picked up at Hobby Lobby. It's from Stampabilities. I've started a collection of stamps with Bible verses. They're my fave along with ANY Christmas stamps. I have quite a collection of those already. I'm hoping the new catty has plenty of both this time!

This is so, so pretty! I love the colors together. I love it when you make elegant cards. And what a great idea to cover the red the way that you did. Have a great Friday!
