Blondies


So what IS a Blondie? I thought I knew. I'd made them before or so I thought. I used to make the chocolate chip cookie recipe off the bag and bake them in a pan and call them Blondies. I kept seeing Blondies on all the food blogs I visit lately. I just didn't get why everyone was raving about them. I mean they were good when I had made them, but not extraordinary or anything . So I thought I'd give the recipe a try and see what all the fuss was about. Well let me tell you, these are not just any ordinary Blondie....these are INCREDIBLE!!!!! .....believe me....these are not the same as mine AT ALL.


I get it now!


Blondies are just like a brownie...chewy and moist... except the brown sugar and melted butter give them a toffee like flavor. You can add whatever you like to them..I added pecans and chocolate chips. These are now my new favorite bar. Honestly, they are AWESOME!!!!!

  3. Looks delicious! I always liked my mom's blonde brownies when I was little, better than regular brownies. I just love the taste of brown sugar goodies!

  4. These look delicious Laurie. I think I'll try your recipe. Where I come from (Massachusetts) we call these congo bars - but I have no idea why!!
