The Paper Players Color Challenge

Hi everyone!

Jaydee has a new color challenge for us at The Paper Players:

Pink Pirouette, Pear Pizzazz, Silver and White!

I've been on a roll making Christmas cards the last few weeks, so I decided to make one for this challenge too. I started out with some Cheery Lynn dies from their new release..the Classic Christmas Tree and the fun Snow Day Bear. I think he's so cute on his sled! I dressed him in a green plaid scarf and hat.

I backed him on a Cheery Lynn pierced circle, stamped the sentiment from Elizabeth Crafts, and added a pierced snowflake from My Favorite Things. The last thing I did was to add a few sparkly pink enamel dots for Stampin' Up.

Be sure to check out the rest of the Paper Players Design Team!

I hope you will join us!

Paper: SU, DP
Ink: SU black
Stamps: Elizabeth Craft Designs Winter Sentiments
Dies:Cheery Lynn Snow Day Bear, Classic Christmas Tree,Pierced Circles,MFT pierced snowflakes
Other: SU enamel dots

Great technique! I love how you added colored paper to this dipper. It's a bit of a riddle for me, I have to experiment some times to achieve that. I wonder if I'll be able to match you ...? I doubt :-)

What a fun card! That bear on a sled is having such a great time, I can't help but smile. These colours didn't say Christmas to me but you and Annie and Joanne have showed me otherwise!

What fun Laurie - that polar bear is definitely enjoying his sled ride! Love the plaid had and scarf and the pink enamel dots - a great way to accent an otherwise all-white card!

Such a cute card Laurie, love the fun bear! I also love that you used small doses of color and maintained lots of white space.

Laurie, this is sooo fun! I love that little polar bear sledding! He looks so happy! His plaid hat and scarf make him look so dapper and those big, bold snowflakes are so pretty! Your card made me smile, My Friend! Hope you are having a great week! XX

Laurie, I love your sledding bear - he's having so much fun he makes me smile. Your little pops of pink are perfect and I love the die-cut tree and snowflake. Gorgeous card

Laurie, Your card is adorable. I'm working with this die right now and wonder what you did to make the black toes on the bear. I feel that the die shouldn't cut these areas out and the only way I see to fix this is to cut out small black ovals to glue behind each foot. Would you comment on how you handled this? Thanks, Carole

You can cut out some black and adhere it to the back, or inlay the pieces, either works!
