Papertrey's Favorite Things

Hi everyone!

The Paper Players challenge this week is a sketch from Joanne:

I used one of my favorite stamps this Christmas from Papertrey called Favorite Things. I embossed it in white on some crumb paper and added some splatters with a toothbrush. I LOVE doing that!

Then I cut out an oval and a tree with some scraps of plaid paper, and added a snowflake and holly. I tied on my string and added an enamel dot in the center of the snowflake.

The second card was also made with some plaid scraps and crumb paper. I cut out 2 trees from Concord and 9th and embossed the sentiment from My Favorite Things In and Out Christmas in white onto the crumb tree. Then I cut it to fit on top of the plaid tree, and tied on a string.

I just have so much fun making Christmas cards...they are my very fave!

Be sure to check out the rest of the Paper Players Design Team:

I hope you will join us!

Where did you get the red enamel dots? I have the hardest time finding really red ones. And, I love both these cards. A great way to use up some pretty scrap paper. Thanks.

Laurie I absolutely love both of your plaid and kraft creations! Love the white ink splatters, too. I've not tried your technique of using a toothbrush. Did you use craft ink? Would love to hear more...
