True Blue

That's you! It's another 5x5 card. I made this with some paper I downloaded for free from Papertrey along time ago. It was a page full of small squares. I wondered if my SU square punch was the same size...it was, and it worked perfectly. I backed them on SU chocolate chip and adhered them to some SU bashful blue I ran through my Bigshot. I embellished the squares with some flowers from my SU three for you punch. For the center I stamped the sentiment from the Goody Goody Gumdrop set with chocolate chip ink on white. Then I punched it out with my circle punch and added a couple flowers. On the top corner I put some bashful blue ribbon that I had run through a flower button from Button Latte. It took awhile to put this together, but it was fun!

  1. The quilt theme is so perfect for a friendship card. And the warm colors you chose remind me of flannel.

You mentioned that you downloaded the paper from the internet. I've seen those offers but have never tried because the ink for my printer is so expensive that I figured that the amount used to print one page would at least a dollar's worth or more. Do you find that it uses a signifcant amount of ink? Is it decent quality?

  3. This card turned out fabulous! I love the blues and browns together. It does seem like a nice warm quilt of friendship! How fun.

I read your question about the Papertrey buttons. We are off to baseball practice right now, but when I get home, I'll get some pics of the buttons I have with some papers to try and give you some idea of color comparisons, and email them to you.
