I have another card to share today, I made it for two challenges:
I used SU's Sweet Sorbet designer paper from the Sale-A bration catty. I backed it on some black, and used crisp cantaloupe for the card. The sentiment is from Remembering Your Birthday, stamped in crisp cantaloupe. I used the deco label dies and added a "spring" butterfly on top in crisp cantaloupe. A tiny jewel on the butterfly added a bit of bling!
I have to laugh, though, as it is definitely not anywhere close to spring here today. Here's a picture out the back door...it's been lightly snowing all afternoon.
It's been SO cold that a bunch of records have been broken already for March...dating back to the 1800's. The good news is that the extreme cold is leaving us and we will have somewhat warmer weather headed our way soon!
But as for spring, it SEEMS a long way off! I guess I'll just have to keep making cards that remind me of it! I'll definitely be thankful when it gets here!
What a breath of fresh air...love the colors and the pop of black! It really sets off that DP perfectly, and the butterfly is a little touch of whimsy! We are cold here too! Brrrr....spring can't come soon enough! Thanks for playing with the Paper Players this week!
ReplyDeleteLove your bright fun card. Hope your weather warms up. x
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, Laurie! Your card certainly feels like spring even if your backyard doesn't! Lovely use of the sorbet paper...Thank you for joining us at The Paper Players!
