Wrapped in happiness....

Hi everybody!

It sure feels like Christmas time around here with the temps so much colder...some areas even had snow flurries last night. I think it will be a chilly evening for the trick or treaters on Friday!

Here is the inspiration photo over at Festive Friday this week:

Over at 52 card throw down it's enamel dots:

And over at Addicted to Stamps anything goes!

GRAB OUR BADGE!

On Saturday I went to a stampers garage sale at a local mall and sitting on one of the tables was an old sizzix 2 present die. You know the yellow plastic ones? I grabbed it, thinking I'd use it for the FF challenge.  I wasn't sure it would work in my big shot, but a couple of friends that were there said it would, so I bought it for a dollar.

I'm pretty pleased with my purchase, even though it's an older one, it sure is cute. As soon as I got home I was cutting out all sorts of presents with scraps of patterned paper. Presents were definitely the inspiration I chose from the photo for my card...but which ones to use? I had made so many!

My favorite were the ones I made with Stampin Up's holiday Designer Paper, " All is Calm."It's such pretty paper. I think I am the only one, so far anyway, not using red in their card at Festive Friday, but I just love the blue and white!

I dug out my favorite SU Christmas set, More Merry Messages and stamped the verse with blue lagoon. I thought "wrapped in happiness" went well with the presents.

Have a great day!

Paper:textured white, SU all is calm DP
Ink: SU blue lagoon
Stamps: SU More Merry Messages
Dies: sizzix present die, lil inkers stitched rectangles

Oh another lovely creation....what a bargain with your die! That blue is so calming and as you say goes well with the sentiment too. Love the white pearls/brads in the centre of the bows....just the right finishing touch! As for the snow at your end ...keep it! We are having a very unseasonal October here...quite mild. :)

I love the clean and simple design and the fresh color scheme of your card! I also like that you've used the same paper for the gifts that you used for the mat. And hey, I have that same Sizzix die! :) Thanks so much for joining us this week at 52{C}CT. I hope you'll come back again soon for another challenge!
