I guess the ruler in this card is really a measuring tape for sewing... but I used it as a ruler for a "back to school" card. Teachers start workshops already next week and students come the day after Labor Day. It's time to go back!!!

Teachers rule!
Good Morning!

Summer days....
I know summer is almost over. But I had this awesome "summertime" paper that I didn't get a chance to use yet....so I made this card. I love all the colors....they're so vibrant and warm.
While it's true summer IS almost over... it's still sunny and warm out and I plan to enjoy each and every day left!
Check my food blog for a sweet summertime treat....
Sweets for you
This is another card I made to give with my baked goodies. I used my cricut to cut out the cutting board. That top note die sure comes in handy..I used it again on this card. What would I do without it?
Stamps: non SU
Ink:SU black
Paper: SU white, black, non SU
Other: cricut, SU top note die, button, ribbon
Yummy
Bon Appetit
I'm making more apron cards with my cricut. It seems that with all my baking lately for my food blog, I'm sharing more goodies! I like to put a card or tag along with them.
I used some CC blue checked paper and SU white, black and blue bayou. I backed the apron on a top note...and added a tiny gingerbread man button to the apron. The sentiment is from SU Voila.

I like you
Good morning! It sure is hot and muggy up north today...and foggy. I'm hoping it lifts by the time I have to drive into town to work.
The card I'm sharing today is pretty simple. Just some CC paper, a button and sentiment. I borrowed my friends new scalloped nesties, too. The real red, summer sun and white paper are all from SU.
Off to work..hope I can see my way there!

Back to school card
Well it's time to think about going back to school I guess. The adds are on TV. Fall clothes are in the stores. Wallmart school supplies are already depleted. And I got my letter telling me when to come back for workshop. {I'm a para in the autism program} So I guess it's true...summer is almost over. Where did it go? I had so many plans!
I thought I better get going on a few back to school treats and cards. Here's one I made yesterday.
Off to enjoy one of the few remaining summer days! Have a good one!

Word Play # 4
Good Morning!
I'm still on a roll using all the sentiments from SU's Word Play. I am determined to use every single one. So many times I buy stamp sets and don't use many of the stamps...I usually just use one or two I really like from the set. What's up with that anyway? I need to change...so I am!
This card makes #4. I wanted to use the new color pear pizazz but had no ink or matching ribbon. Or DP either for that matter. So I improvised with what I had. I used certainly celery ink and some elegant eggplant to create the background paper. The stamp is from Fifth Ave Floral. The ribbon and brad are non SU, but thought they matched really well. I used my nesties for the oval and scalloped oval. On to the next card! I wonder which sentiment I should use this time?
Oh....
Don't forget to check out my food blog! I joined a baking group. They are baking their way through the book, Baking form My Home to Yours by Dorie Greenspan. The book is HUGE and full of wonderful recipes I can't wait to try. We will be post alternating Mondays. They started awhile back so I will have some catching up to do with past recipes. That will be fun too. I love to see every ones take on the same recipe!
HI
This card is made from leftover pieces of other projects. I was cleaning my craft cave and realized I just have too many scraps of paper laying around. I've been challenging myself to use them up!

Note card
This is a clean and simple note card I made with a stamp I borrowed from a friend. I started with one of my favorite colors...SU crumb cake for the card and for stamping the image. I think almost any color looks great with it. Here I used a {non SU} aqua mist button, ribbon, and paper. It's such a pretty, fresh color!
Party at the nest
I saw a card similar to this in a card magazine and thought it would be fun to make a knock off of it. I just think those long skinny legs are funny!
I have today off and am hoping to make some cards. It's been awhile....almost 2 weeks since I have had any time to "play". I'm running out of things to post!
Apron strings
Hi! I've been fooling around with my Cricut and cut out this sweet little apron. I decided to put it on a card to give the next time I bring some baked goods to someone. Inside looks like this:
I've also been busy starting my new food blog...you can check it out here: http://cookinupnorth.blogspot.com
Have a great day!
Artistic Etchings
Amour
The card I'm sharing today is really chocolate chip and bleu bayou, but it sure looks almost black doesn't it? I just couldn't get a good photo. I used SU's Artistic Etchings....love everything about that set! The medallion stamp works perfectly with the 1 3/4 " circle punch, too.
It's another beautiful day so I'm off to enjoy! Have a good one!
Paper: SU's retired bleu bayou, vanilla, chocolate chip, non SU patterned paper

I was playing around with my personal die cutting machine yesterday and cut out this glass...I thought it would be cute for a congratulations card. The paper is SU's new Marina Mist which I am liking ALOT. The DP is old, I got it from a friend a few years ago. It's very cheery and bright!
Bee happy!
