Emboss resist

This card is similar to the one I made here with the emboss resist technique. I used the same colors but turned it vertical. I also used SU's Whimsical Words for the sentiment. The card stock is SU pool party and island indigo.

I wish I had made more of these...such a pretty technique!

Thinking of you

Just taking a few minutes to post a quick card I made the other day....I'm off to grill some burgers and get ready for the fireworks.

Other: SU flower punches, white embroidery floss, score pal, SU shimmer brads, CB folder swiss dots

Thinking of you

This is not a 4th of July card, but I did use red,white and blue!

I also used black ink on kraft paper,too.

The stamp set I used for the image is an oldie...SU Calm Seas, but the sentiment is from a newer set, SU So Happy For You. I tied a bit of white embroidery floss around the image to give it a more nautical look. Inside I stamped," Get well soon."

I really wanted to add a button or something more but since this card has to be mailed I decided to leave as is!

I borrowed this stamp from a friend of mine...I think she got it at a garage sale a while ago. I stamped with SU black ink on white paper. The folder is SU, too...framed tulips. I backed it on SU real red and just added a bit of color with my real red marker. The sentiment is from Great Impressions.

She looks exactly like I feel some days!

I have my family here today for Easter dinner instead of tomorrow. I'm trying a few new recipes and if we liked them I'll try to post them later in the week....

Thinking of you

Today I borrowed SU's Fresh Cuts stamp set from my friend and made this "thinking of you" card. I used pretty in pink and white. It makes me feel like spring...so does the weather! Tomorrow is supposed to be nice too!
