Halloween Swaps

I got together with some of my friends for a Halloween swap...WOW..what cute stuff! Look at this witch hat filled with candy!

I love this witch card...inside WAS a Dove candy bar. {I ate it} Notice the broom? It's made with a twig.

This is a SWEET Frankie...I love the punch she used for the hair. And those eyes!

How about this bat made with punches!

This finger cookie is awesome...if you want the recipe check here: http://stampingupnorthwithlaurie.blogspot.com/2008/10/6-by-6-recipe-page-halloween-finger.html
Inside the match book was some more Dove chocolate...{I ate that too.} I love the distressing on this!

Here's a fun casket with a skeleton inside:

This shoe card is AMAZING!

Thanks everybody...I had a great time, loved the swaps... and especially the company!

Retro recipe page

Oh... I am so excited about this paper I bought at a local craft store! I love the retro look. I thought it went well with this meatball recipe that's been around for a long time. I remember having it often as a kid. One of my friends moms used to make it. It's good down home comfort food. I think it's even better the next day. It makes alot! I'd say about 20-24 large meatballs. I cooked mine about 1 hour and 45 minutes. Enjoy!

R I P

My friend cut these coffins out on her..well, what should I call it..."cutting machine?" {Because of the new SU agreement demos had to sign concerning non-SU products, I guess I need to be creative with my choice of words. } Tucked inside is a small bag with candy corn. I had fun decorating them!

Halloween Tags

OF COURSE I needed to order this die...tags? I'm all over that!

Here's what I stuck inside:

Paper: black, old olive, cast a spell

Ink: black

Stamps:Holiday Best

Other: wide oval punch, scallop circle punch, buttons, ribbon, two tag die

Dasher

Dasher is sporting a few red dew drops on his antlers for this card. The paper and kiwi kiss ribbon are from last year. I wish SU would come out with more satin ribbon....they're my favorite. Kiwi kiss was one of my all time favorite in-colors,too. My stack of Christmas cards is growing but I still need more....

Ornaments

When I saw this Merry Moments DP with the ornaments I thought it would go well with this clear stamp set I bought at a local craft store last year. I added a couple chocolate chip ribbon bows. It's such a simple card but I really like it!

Scarecrow

I cased this guy here: http://flowerbug.typepad.com/my_weblog/2009/09/punch-art-scarecrow-.html I love this scarecrow. He is just too cute. I changed a few things..put him on a top note and added some pumpkins. I like the sentiment....it's from the hostess set Holiday Best.
Hope you had a great weekend!

Halloween Gift Cards

I made a couple of gift cards for my kids Halloween care packages. They measure 8 1/2 x 5, score at 2 3/4 and 6 3/4. I tied them closed with some ribbon and added an oval tag. The boxes are ready to be mailed. This year I included things in my daughters box for her to share with new hubby too. I hope they like them!

That Good Salad

I found this recipe in my local church cookbook. I've used it often...it's SO good! I could eat the whole bowl myself...I think I may have. The combo of ingredients is just right. Sometimes I'll throw a grilled chicken breast on top and serve with some garlic bread. It's a great meal!

{This photo doesn't do it justice, but I was in a hurry.}

Book marks

I made a couple bookmarks for my kids. I've been busy getting their boxes ready to send. About this time every year I send them a care package. This started during their college years, and one IS still in grad school, but I have so much fun with this I will probably always do it... school or not! Last year I concentrated on Halloween, but this time I have a variety of items. I include some favorite treats, a few things I've made and a gift card. I'll show you my gift cards I made in another post. have a great day!

Pumpkin Patch

This is a fun set to play with. I have alot of ideas for it but so little time! Halloween is sneaking up on me. I really like the polka dot pumpkin the best..so cute. It's fun to be able to change the faces, too.

Looks like a rainy day here. Have a good one!

Embossed Dasher Card

I'm still playing with the "Simply Sent" card kit. I love the colors in the kit...greens are my favorites. I added a gold embossed Dasher and a snowflake.

Paper: Simply Sent kit
Ink: black, gold embossing
Stamps:Holiday Collection
Other: snowflakes set #2 die, gold pearl brad

Peanut Butter Bars

These are easy to make and if you love peanut butter...you'll love these. I recently brought a plate over to some friends and they took a bite and said, "Blog worthy!" I am always trying out recipes on my family and friends. Since I started posting recipe pages, of course, my big question always is," Is this blog worthy?"

I agree...they are definitely blog worthy!

{I baked my bars a bit longer...about 30 minutes and added only a few tablespoons of milk to the frosting.}

October Card Club

Our cards for this month....

I love card club nite! It's always so much fun. Next month we have our Christmas card swap...hard to believe it's already time for that! I have mine done already, though. This past week we had fall break so I was able to get lots done around here. Not as much as I'd like though...there never seems to be enough time to do everything I want!

Punch art bell

One of my friends made a punch art book. It is SO awesome! I saw this Christmas bell in it and had to make one for a top note tag. It's made with the 3 oval punches. The holly leaves are ovals too, punched around with the slit punch. I'm not sure where she saw the bell, so I can't put a link to it. It's so fun to make stuff with punches!

Christmas Tags

I'm so into making tags this year. Well...I guess I was last year too. I don't know why..I just like them. So.... here's another one:
