Hearts for The Card Concept!

Hi everyone!

The Card Concept has a very timely challenge today, with Valentines Day just a week or so away:

I was inspired by the pretty hearts....

I'm not really into watercolor much, but every once in awhile I make a few backgrounds. This one I had made some time ago, and thought it would be perfect for this card.

I added some Memory Box stitched hearts, and the stitched swirl from My Favorite Things. The sentiment is stamped in black from Taylored Expressions. I also added a few pink sequins. The whole panel is popped up. I do like that soft water color background and the texture from the watercolor paper. Maybe I should use water colors more often!

We would love to have you join us for this challenge.

You can heck out it out HERE.

 Have a great day!

New Christmas goodies...Reverse Confetti Stamped Note and Lovely Words

Hi everyone!

Sunday is always a it's time for a new challenge at The Paper Players...this time form Jaydee:

MY FAVE...tic tac toe!!!!

I went with the middle across....die cuts, pink, and girly.

I think I mentioned in earlier posts that I had gotten some goodies for Christmas from Reverse Confetti from my mother in law. She gave me the gift of money to buy something I of course I bought dies! It's my first time ordering from them, and I really have been enjoying all the products!

This card uses two RC sets, the Lovely Words dies and stamp, and the Stamped Note Confetti cuts. I layered 5 of the postage stamp rectangles in different colors. Actually I cut them in half before layering them, and made two cards out of them! For the top one I chose white, and adhered the two hearts. I really like the hearts....they have outlines, too! Then I stamped the sentiment in black, and added the die cut,"sweet." I popped up the entire panel.

Hope you join us!

Christmas Card Challenge...anything goes!

Happy Sunday!

This week at the Christmas Card Challenge it's anything goes... Christmas, of course!

Those are always popular challenges.
I have to admit, they are one of my fave too. It's always fun to share what you have been working on. And I'm always making Christmas cards, no matter what time of the year!

I'm still making cards with all the quilts I made with my Jillian quilt die.
I guess I really got into it last fall and made more then I can count! For this one I used some scraps from my scrap box...the designer paper is Stampin Up. I also used real red and old olive.

The background curve is made with Lawn Fawns stitched hillside borders. The sentiment is stamped in black from SU's Six Sayings.

Reverse Confetti Lovely Words die and stamp set

Hi everyone!

I've really been having fun with the word dies from Reverse Confetti.
I fist saw them over on Kay Miller's blog...I think she had some of the winter words on her Christmas cards, too.  I finally tracked them down and ordered some. I LOVE them...they are so cute and are just the right size for so many projects.

I started out with Avery Elle's Wonky stitched rectangles...they add such a fun look to the card. Then I put together the focal point of the card.....the heart! I layered it using Memory Box stitched hearts. The tiny red heart in the center is from Reverse Confetti.

Lots of stitches in this card:

The front sentiment is stamped in black from Reverse Confetti's Lovely Words. Inside I used a couple more stamp sets....Stampendous Scripty Stems and Lizzie Anne Little Bits, to piece together the whole sentiment,"You fill my heart with happiness, Happy Valentines Day."

Memory Box stitched hearts

Hi everyone!

It's time for fun sketch challenge from Nance at The Paper Players:

I used the sketch to make a Valentine card. I still need a few
more...and February is right a round the corner!

I chose some cute paper from my Doodlebug Lovebug paper pack for a the background panel. For the focal point, I layered some stitched hearts from Memory Box in red and pink. In the very center is a small heart from Impression Obsession. In my box of die cuts I found the white snowflake wreath die...I think from Memory Box. I added some pretty red and pink tiny jewels to their centers.

The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions Many Min's Holidays, stamped in black on a red MFT pierced banner.

Now I just need a few more Valentines and I'm all set.

Head on over to The Paper Players and join the challenge!

Warm Wishes for the Christmas Card Challenge!

Hi everyone!

Today we have some fun colors at the Christmas Card Challenge to work with:

Such fun, bright colors!

One of the gifts I got for Christmas was the Layered Snowflake die from Reversed Confetti. I've been having lots of fun with it, and I thought the colors would work perfect for a winter snowflake.

I backed it on some white, and added the sentiment in black from SU's Snow Day. I adhered 2 small hearts underneath from Impression Obsession. The base of the card is my all time favorite color.... SU's Coastal Cabana. I'm hoarding a few packs! I just hate it when they retire colors.  At least they aren't retiring them as often as they used too!

This is meant to be a Christmas card, but after I saw the photo I took, it does look like a Valentine with the Valentine washi sitting at the side, and the tiny hearts! LOL!
But inside it does say,"Merry Christmas." I guess I forgot to remove the washi tape after I took my Valentine photo's.

Please join us for this fun challenge over at the Christmas Card Challenge...we would love to have you play along!
