The Paper Players

Hi everyone!

It's Sunday and time for another Paper Players challenge. This week Anne Marie has a sketch:

I decided to use some new SU in colors...watermelon wonder and cucumber crush for the Lil Inker perky posies. I really like both of those colors!

I adhered the posies onto a summer sun Paper trey circle scribble. The stitched circle and sentiment are also from Lil Inker, and the pierced banner from MFT. I also added three pearls at the side.

This was a fun sketch!

Wishing you happiness

Hi everyone!

It sure is a busy time with all the graduations, confirmations, and now weddings headed our way. I made this wedding card with a favorite die..the Penny Black rose. It's so beautiful! I used one of my alcohol ink backgrounds....a pretty pink. I framed it with the Impression Obsession 5 in 1 die, and added the sentiment"wishing" from MFT. Inside it says,"You Happiness."

Have a great day!

Alcohol Ink Backgrounds

Hi everyone!

I have a Christmas card I made for a few challenges today.
I used some of my alcohol ink backgrounds and stamps from Serendipity. I find they look and work so well for this type of stamping. I put a frame around it using Impression Obsession 5 in 1 die. I adhered four of them together for some dimension. I also embossed a few lines behind the frame. The sentiment is from SU's Calm Christmas. I love that set!

Here is a link to some alcohol ink info from Tim Holtz. I use glossy paper, and stamp with black stazon.

Can you see the depth of the colors in the top photo? Below I just changed the position of the card, and now you can see the lighter tones.

The Paper Players...thank you

Hi everyone!

Here's the fun challenge from Jaydee this week at The Paper Players:

As soon as I saw this, I thought about flowers and the color pink. That's
 girly to me!

I used a piece of patterned paper from Lawn Fawn, and matched it with strawberry slush ink from Stampin Up for my flowers. The thank you die is from Memory box. I adhered three together to add some dimension. I had some enamel dots I found at Michael's on one of my frequent shopping trips that matched perfectly.

It seems like a long time since I've had a chance to play at Pals Paper Arts!

Here's the challenge this week:

I  used quite a few dies on this one!
The background is from Lil Inker," Anytime Tags." The flowers are also from Lil Inker called, "Perky Posies." I love those stitched blooms! The birdhouses are from Impression Obsession, and the sentiment from Lawn Fawn.
I just realized I didn't do any stamping.....except on the inside of course!

Have a great day!

Lil Inker Boxed Up Birthday Greeting Die

Hi everyone!

Look what I got in the mail for my Birthday a few weeks ago....a Birthday die! How fitting!

I decided to break it out for this color challenge:

The bright colors seem perfect for some Birthday balloons. I added a tiny red heart on the middle one...and a couple enamel dots finished the card off.

The Card Concept #35

Hi everyone!

Today I'm sharing a card I made for  The Card Concept:

I was inspired to make a spring card for my daughter with the colors of the cupcakes that are decorated like flowers. I actually would like to take that fork and have a bite! I LOVE's even better than the cake part! It looks so soft and fluffy in the photo.

I used Poppystamps flower stack die and cut out some yellow and light pink flowers to put on the Impression Obsession frame.

The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions " Big Bold Easter" which I thought worked well for this card. I think flowers are one of the best gifts of spring! In fact, as soon as it warms up around here,I can't wait to plant some.

Be sure to check out the challenge and play along!
