Cheery Lynn Retro Buddies

Hi everyone!
Today my card features two of Cheery Lynn's dies from the Retro Release. There are 10 dies in this release, and they are all so fun! I find myself reaching for them again and again!

I decided to make a Birthday card for a friend's son who loves robots. I cut out one of the robots from the Robot Buddies set in black and orange. Then I added some silver foil arms and legs.

I also cut out two signs in some fun patterned paper using the Retro Sign die set.

I stamped and colored the Happy Birthday sentiment and then adhered the signs and robot. I added a few funky stars with enamel dot centers cut out from the same set.

The Paper Players Clean and Simple Bird Challenge

Hi everyone!

Today Jaydee has a Clean and Simple "Bird" challenge for us at The Paper Players:

I used the Blueprint Morning Bird die, and have him perched on a Cheery Lynn branch. I have lots of friends who LOVE birds, so I chose the sentiment from Carta Bella, "Hello Friend."

Because this is a Clean and Simple challenge, I kept lots of white space, and didn't add any extra embellishments.

You can check out the rest of the cards from the design team here:

Tutti Designs Butterfly Strip

Today I'm sharing a card I made with Tutti Designs Butterfly Strip. I can't get enough of this beautiful die!
TUTTI-104 Butterfly Strip

This time I made a background with Luna Lights, which is like a pearlescent acrylic paint. I put some onto a piece of glossy black paper, and smooshed another piece over the top. Two for the price of one..lol! It left all the fun looking ripples and texture.

I cut out the butterfly strip and adhered it to a scalloped rectangle. Then I stamped the sentiment and added some jewels.

I colored it with my Copics, and added the sun and clouds from Cherry Lynn. Then I backed that onto a red Tutti Designs scalloped stitched rectangle.

Memory Box Tool Border.....Happy Father's Day!

Hi everyone!

I can't believe it's almost Father's Day! This summer is flying by. I'm glad I had this card already made and ready to go. I haven't had much time in my craft room lately.

I started out with a piece of wood grain paper and added some Cheery Lynn pierced circles. I stamped the sentiment on the white one, then added a few tools and some enamel dots. Then I adhered the tool border from Memory Box.

The Paper Players Color Challenge

Today Nance has a color challenge for us at The Paper Players:

I used some fun new retro dies from Cheery Lynn:

B943 - Retro Television Die Set Colored Image
Cheery Lynn Designs - Retro Signs Die Set - 8 Die Set - B945
We actually had a TV something like this when I was growing up! I don't remember any rabbit ears though.

I  decided to make a set of cards, one in crumb cake and one in white. As you can see, I did some layering and cut out a scalloped rectangle in lemon lime, and also one in a cool neutral patterned paper that matched the TV perfectly! I used the coral to accent my black retro TV.

I also added some enamel dots for the knobs...I DO remember having to turn a TV on and off..no remotes. My brother and I used to argue about who had to get up and change the channels! It was usually ME..lol!

The sentiment is stamped in black from Jillibean Super Star.

Cherry Lynn Vintage Christmas Car

Hi everyone!

This fun classic vintage car from Cheery Lynn reminded me of when I was a kid and our family packed up and headed to Grandma and Grandpa's house for Christmas. SO... I decided to create a Christmas scene with it for my siblings!

We actually did put luggage and presents on top of our car...but in a luggage rack. There were 4 kids, one large black lab and our parents, so we all barely fit inside! Since I was the youngest, I sat in the front, in the middle. That was the worst...with a hump on the floor, and very little room to get comfortable at all. It was a 3 hour drive!  BUT those are some of the best memories I have..the trips of us all together in that car!

First I cut out the car and presents:

Cheery Lynn Designs - Classic Car Die Set - 13 Die Set - B944

Cheery Lynn Designs - Deco Christmas Tree - 5 Piece - B915

Then I adhered them onto a blue circle, and added some holly from the Christmas Wreath set:

After I stamped the sentiment, I added some flecks of snow with white paint and a toothbrush.
