Back to school!

Hi everyone!

It's back to school time already here in Minnesota, and most schools open after Labor Day.  I have to confess that I miss the days of getting ready for school. I loved the clothes shopping with my kids....AND buying the school supplies! Which folder to choose? That was always a BIG decision. My daughter went for the cute puppies while my son preferred the sports ones. Those are some fun memories!

I decided to make a "back to school" card for the challenge this week at The Paper Players. Nance is hosting a Tic tac favorite!

I went diagonal, ribbon,embossing,and sequins.

Be sure to head on over to The Paper Players and join the fun!

Peace at Christmas

Hi everyone!

Today I have a soft pastel Christmas card to share.
Usually I am always drawn to the traditional Christmas colors of red and green, but I do think sometimes a light blue or pink can be SO pretty.

Once again, there is no stamping on this card...only dies..which of course are my very favorites! I used MFT Blueprints #20 for the base of the card, all in soft sky and white. I adhered Memory Box Frozen Flakes and some Memory Box Small Blooming Poinsettias on top. For a bit of bling, I added some tiny pearls in the centers. The sentiment from Paper trey is cut out with some glitter paper from JoAnne's.

I'm entering this at:

Addicted to CAS soft sky blue
Jingle Belles: snow (snowflakes), die cuts, bling (glitter paper and pearls)

Outside the box (cool thoughts for warm days)

Have a great day!

Paper: SU white and soft sky, glitter paper

The Paper Players sketch challenge

Hi everyone!

Today Joanne has this fun sketch for us over at The Paper Players:

This was a hard one for me!
I finally figured out what I wanted to do when I decided to use Stampin' Ups spider web doily as one of my circle shapes, and made a Halloween card.

I used Lil inker stitched dies for my other circle. The black cat is from Top Dog, and the bat I punched out of glitter paper with my Martha Stewart punch. The background dies are from MFT Blueprint #20. I also added a bow with some bakers twine.

Head on over to The Paper Players and play along!

Paper: SU white, black, lovley lilac, pumpkin pie, glitter
Ink: SU black
Stamps: Hero Arts
Dies: MFT pierced banners, Blueprints #20, Top dog cat, lil Inker stitched circles, MS bat punch
Other: SU spider web doily, green jewels, bakers twine

Stampin Up.... Happy Wonderful Christmas

Hi everyone!

I dug out all my Christmas dies and have really gotten into making Christmas after the other. I blame it on Stampin' Up's Merry Moments designer paper. Ever since I opened the pack I can't seem to stop making Christmas cards!

I used a panel of it here:

Underneath I adhered a pine needle border form Memory Box. I LOVE making poinsettias, so I made a large one for this card. The sentiment is also from Stampin' Ups Wondrous Wreath.

Stampin' Up Merry Moments Christmas Card

Hi everyone!

I've been playing with my new Stampin' Up Merry Moment's Designer Paper again.

Love this pack!

The trees in the DP reminded me of my Impression Obsession Christmas tree Cut out  dies, so I cut one out for the focal point. I added three snowflakes and a little twine bow. The snowflake ornaments are actually the centers for the Blooming Poinsettias from Memory Box. I think they are so cute!

The sentiment is stamped in red from Poppy Stamps. The background dies are from MFT's Blueprint's #20.

The Paper Players beach theme challenge

Hi everyone!

The challenge this week from LeAnne at The Paper Players is:

When I think of the's sitting in the sand relaxing. I found the perfect stamp at Michael's in the dollar bin that says, "Hurry up and relax." And it IS hurry up! Up north starts soon, and with that the weather starts to get cooler. Gotta use up the few beach days left around here!
I added some summertime dies from Impression Obsession...the flip flops and beach chair. The umbrella is from Memory Box, and the sun from Lil Inker.

But wait...that's not all the dies I used! The background is from MFT's Blueprint #20 and the circle from Lil inker.

Have a great day, and be sure to come join us at The Paper Players!
