Festive Friday photo challenge

Festive Friday has another photo challenge:

The photo's are so gorgeous, it's hard to choose what to focus on! I adore all the white.

My eyes drew to the candles on top of the mantle. It reminded me of the new Memory Box die that I can't seem to stop making cards with. It's called, "tapered candle."

I think it's an elegant die, and love it on an all white card. I cut off part of an embossed panel from a Darice embossing folder to adhere by it's side. I like the way the ornaments flow down. I also added a white poinsettia with a pearl in it's center, also from Memory Box.

The sentiment is from SU's "More Merry Wishes." It reminded me of the photo with all the white trimmings in the cozy room.

Check out the other cards here....they are sure to get you in the Christmas mood...even on the hottest days in July!

Sweet Sunday Sketch

Here's the sketch at Sweet Sunday:

My SU "Flower Fair" bundle was still setting on my desk from my last project, so I thought I'd use it again for this challenge. I also used a piece of DP from my little, "All Abloom" paper pad. It's got lots of cute paper in it, and is just the right size for me. I rarely use up the packs of the larger size DP. The card stock is....you guessed it....my fave.... blue lagoon.

The sentiment is from an older set called, Best Yet." I use it ALL the time. It's stamped a stitched circle.

Less is More..singing in the rain

It's another double post day!

Yes, I have been busy in my craft room. It's WAY too hot to be outside, in fact we go for our walk in the mornings now. It's just cool enough if you head out early.

This card is for the"singing in the rain"challenge at Less is More. I had to think about this one. I really didn't have many stamps that would work. I finally found the sentiment from SU's Bootiful Occasions. I also found some SU DP with rain drops and used my stitched circles and rectangles from Lawn Fawn. The sun is also from Lawn Fawn, the clouds are Memory Box.
The card stock is SU's lost lagoon, quickly becoming a fave of mine.

Now I guess I better quit playing and do some cleaning around here!

Have a great rest of the day!

Love you to the moon......

Hi everybody! Happy Monday! Time for a few challenges.

Over at SS Wednesday challenge blog it's a" spots and dots "week.

AND at PS sparks challenge blog, it's "anything goes."

I decided to combine the two challenges using the PS Cosmos stamp set. The "dots" can be found in Lawn Fawns polka dot designer paper on the moon and stars. I added a single sequin "spot" to one of the stars.

Be sure to stop over and see all the other cards!

Paper Players challenge

Hi everybody!

This week Sandy has a fun challenge for us over at Paper Players:

I LOVE making monochromatic cards. If you have been following my blog for long, you probably already know that, as so many of my cards are.

For this card I chose baked brown sugar and crumb cake, along with white. I used SU's lattice and little leaves dies, along with the pansy bundle. The sentiment is from SU's Work of Art.

I think its hard to get a good photo of crumb cake, the color never comes off very well, so I find I don't use it as much as I would like too. It's a great color!

If you would like to play along, head on over the The Paper Players!

Hello honey....

It's a double post day!

I made another card..no suns or sunflowers this time, but I did use hello honey card stock. I guess I am also into yellow lately. I like the name, too. "Hello, honey." My dad used to say that all the time!

Anyway...

I'm entering this card in Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge:

PPA212

And also SU Only which is "bows."

I'm not very good at bows, and don't use them often, but I figured I'd give it a shot. I had already made the card for PPA, and decided some ribbon and a bow would go well underneath the 3rd panel of the sketch.

Be sure to check out the other awesome cards!

Paper: SU hello honey, DP, white
Ink: SU lost lagoon and hello honey
Stamps: SU Birthday Bliss, pansy bundle
Other: SU lost lagoon ribbon, pearls

Color Q challenge

Hi everybody!

It's been so warm and sunny lately I've been in the mood for making cards with suns and sunflowers, I guess!

Here is another one that I am entering in the Color Q challenge:

I used black and white, with my spot color of course, the yellow, for the sunflower.
The sunflower is a MB die that I colored with markers and inlaid into a stitched rectangle. I added the die cut word, "smile."

Because....

sunflowers make me smile!

Merry Monday....

I'm always a bit late for Merry Monday..it's more like merry Wednesday or Thursday by the time I get around to making my card. But as they always say, better late than never!

The challenge is sequins this week:

I've really been into making white on white Christmas cards lately...ever since the challenge a few weeks ago. I can't seem to stop!

This embossed snowman from Darice was just crying out for a few snowflakes and sequins. I added the word, "Joy" from lil inker.
Be sure to check out the other cards over at Merry Monday!

Butterflies.....

I'm entering this card in the Butterfly challenge over at Crazy for CAS, a new- to- me challenge blog I thought I'd try out.

I used my butterfly embosslit from SU for the two tiny butterflies. They are adhered to a Floral Bunch MB die. The background is done with alcohol inks, and backed on a stitched rectangle.

I didn't put a sentiment on...I like it the way it is I guess!

Addicted to CAS challenge

Hi everybody!

I made this sunny day card for the challenge over at Addicted to CAS

The challenge is:

http://addictedtocas.blogspot.com.au/2014/07/challenge-42-sky.html

I have to laugh as it actually fits last weeks challenge of "sun" much better, but oh well, it does have a blue sky!

I made this card while playing around with my lil inker and lawn fawn dies, which I bought after seeing SO many cute cards made with them, especially using textured card stock. I use white textured all the time, but my colored has been buried in the back of my closet for years, so I was happy to find a use for it again.

The sentiment is from SU's Ray of Sunshine, the cute little face is from Lawn Fawn's Love You Smore.

Just Fabulous!

This card was made with pieces of things laying on my desk. I was too lazy to put any of it away, so I came up with this!
I'm busy tonight making a few cards for some challenges this week, but I thought I'd take a minute to post my "lazy creation."
Have a great rest of the evening!
