The Paper Players theme challenge

Hi everyone!

This week at The Paper Players, Jaydee has a fun theme challenge for us:

Create a square card...those are always fun to make!

I decided to do a bit of water coloring the other day, and made several background pieces. I grabbed one and cut out the birds from Taylored Expressions, Beauty Lies Within 2 dies. I cut out a black one, too.

And YES I inlaid all those tiny pieces!!!!

I adhered the circle to a white and then a black pierced square from MFT. I tucked a white banner underneath and added 3 small SU pearls to round it all off. The card base is SU's Bermuda Bay. Inside I stamped, "Happy Anniversary." The sentiment is from Hero Arts Phrases.

I added a couple of love birds inside, too!

We sure hope you play along with us this week!

Penny Black....Today is all about celebrating you!

Hi everyone!
Today's card is for the following challenges:

Less is More snippets of paper for the butterflies

We'd love you to display our banner

I cut out some Memory Box butterflies awhile back for a project and had some leftover. I decided to make a very clean and simple card with them...they are too pretty not to use! I used a bit of Wink on them, and  added a few sequins here and there. The sentiment is from Penny Black Sprinkles and Smiles, stamped in black.

Have a great day!

Lots of die cuts!

Hi everyone!

I decided to make a Christmas card today and found a few challenges for inspiration.

Merry Monday...(added a tiny heart)

Poppystamps (a day in a WINTER park)

Challenge Badge copy

Memory Box Challenge (Frostyville border)

Challenge icons

Christmas card challenge (anything goes)

Jingle Belles vintage or retro (village)

My card front is ALL dies which is not unusual for me, as they are my favorite thing!

I used Poppystamps  Forest Village and Memory Box Frostyville border die. The frame is from Obsession Impression, and the snow Lawn Fawns stitched landscape dies. The small heart remains a mystery. I found it on my desk and thought it went perfectly with the sentiment, but I have NO idea what die I had used for it!

I used some retired Stampin Up designer paper I found in my stash ...I just LOVE the soft pretty snowflake background! Inside I stamped with another retired stamp from SU, "Home for Christmas." It's one of my all time favorites!!! I also added Poppy Stamps Frozen Flakes and Cherry Lynns winter neighborhood die.

I had SO much fun playing with my dies today!

Have a great day!

Paper Players Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone!

Hope you are having a great Sunday! Today at The Paper Players Sandy has a sketch for us:

I chose a Lil Inkers rounded tag and adhered a SU doily. Remember those? It's retired now, I could never get all of them to cut out decently, just the larger one. But it got plenty of use anyway! It worked perfectly for this card.

I colored the hollyhocks with some Copics, and then cut out a butterfly. The sentiment is stamped in black from Penny Black.

I used my Wink of Stella on the butterfly, and added a tiny pearl:

You can see it a little better here:

This card was fun to make! As you can see,Sandy has a great sketch this week.

 I hope you play along!

Spellbinders Shapabilities D-lites

Hi everyone!

Today it's my turn to host The Paper Players challenge, and I chose a CAS card featuring FRAMES.

I love the badge Nance designed!
I hadn't even thought of glasses when I chose this, I was thinking picture frames. So fun, Nance!

I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.

My card is VERY clean and simple, my favorite kind. Lots of white space.

I made a frame for my flowers with my Spellbinders rectangles die, and adhered it onto my piece of alcohol ink paper. I tucked the flowers inside and stamped the sentiment in black.

I LOVE playing with alcohol inks, as many of you know! Here is a great video that shows you how. When my friends and I get together, we make a ton of them. My stash is getting low...I think it's time to get together and make some more soon!

Head on over to The Paper Players and play along!
