Merry Little Christmas

Good morning! It's a busy one for me too!

But before I get going, I wanted to enter the challenge over at Merry Monday:

I used the colors from Merry Mondays photo inspiration along with a sentiment for Winter Wonderlands "let's get sentimental" challenge.

The base of the card with the matching ribbon is SU"s Cherry Cobbler. I used two sets of stitched dies...the circles and rectangles from Lil inker and also Lawn Fawn's stitched journal set. The holly is a die from Die Versions, cut out with some patterned paper. The sentiment is from Momenta, stamped in SU black ink.

Have a fun day everybody!

Paper Players let it snow....

Happy Sunday!

This week LeAnne has this fun sketch for the challenge at The Paper Players:

I decided to turn the sketch and used some of my hoarded SU "All is Calm" designer paper. I just love it, and they only have 2 sheets in each pack. I like the other sheets, too, but not as much as this one. I even ordered another pack....primarily for just those 2 sheets! I know, I'm crazy!

I used my Lil inker stitched rectangles, and my friend's Lawn fawn snowflake dies.

FYI... you can make more sizes of the stitched rectangles and squares by cutting out a smaller rectangle shape, then using a larger die to cut off an end. Here's a photo of what I did, except I used the designer paper piece, and made it smaller. Excuse my messy plates...and these are new ones even! Needless to say, I go through quite a few...

The sentiment is from Penny Black,"Wonderful and Jolly".... I LOVE this set. I found it a few weeks ago at our local craft store. It was one of those I just couldn't pass up!

It's all adhered to a piece of SU's Blue lagoon card stock, another favorite of mine.

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

It's Friday and I'm pretty excited for the weekend!

I have several things planned...going to a pizza party...church bazaar, and an Arts and Craft show.

AND Christmas shopping.

It will be a fun weekend!

One of my friends bought a new Memory Box die called, "Beloved Snowflakes," that I used for this card.
I think the spray of snowflakes is SO pretty!

Over at Time Out the challenge is, "embossing with the optional of sparkle."

Grab Our Badge!

I used my Lil inker rectangles...with embossed stitching. The sentiment is form Penny Black, "Wonderful and Jolly"stamped in SU real red. I also found a piece of SU designer paper for the background and added a small pearl.

Have a great weekend!

So thankful...

Hi everybody!

Shopping our Stash has a "Thankful" theme this week.

Grab Our Badge!

I used some of my patterned paper that I found in my stash, and added the sentiment,"Thankful" cut out in gold foil from Papertrey. I also added a small Impression Obsession leaf on the side.

There is always SO much to be thankful for, but today I am especially thankful my kids will be home next week for Thanksgiving!

 I can't wait!

Have a great weekend!

Less is more....peace on earth

Good Morning!

Over at less is more the challenge is more than one tree.

We'd love you to display our banner

I found a few snippets laying on my desk from other projects for this card....the trees for one. When I'm cutting out with my dies, I will often make several of whatever I'm cutting out. You never know when you might need them...just like today!

Head on over and check out the other cards!

Paper: white textured, retired SU DP, SU real red
Ink: SU black
Stamps: Stampabilities Glory to God
Dies: Impression Obsession trees, oval nestie, Papertrey peace, MB contempo circle border die

Paper Players...grateful for you!

This week Ann has a " thank you" for the challenge at The Paper Players:

I chose to go with the brightly colored leaves on the photo, and made a "Thanks"giving card.

Instead of using a "Thank you" sentiment, I have "Grateful" on the front, and inside it says,"for you." Below that I stamped,"Happy Thanksgiving."

The leaves are cut out with Impression Obsessions Leaves dies. I used some alcohol ink papers I had made to cut them out. (You can find out more about alcohol inks here) The word grateful is from Papertrey, cut out in gold foil.

I found some snippets in my scrap box that I thought would work well for the background..a piece of already embossed baked brown sugar, some rust, and an old piece of patterned paper. I'm entering this over at Pixie's Snippets Playground.
