Vintage gift tags

Good Morning! Wow, its cold out. The ice is starting to form around the edges of the lake. I need to get out my slippers as it was pretty cold on the hard wood floors this morning! Last nite we put our tree up and it smells so good...it's starting to look and feel like Christmas around here. We just need a bit of snow now.

I made a few tags with my vintage paper I found a few weeks ago. I'm hoping to find some more this weekend when I go shopping. Have a fun Saturday!

Holiday Treat

I'm starting to get my stocking stuffers ready. For this topper I used a 3 1/2" circle and folded it in half. I made quite a few of these as they were so fast and easy to put together. I had to try really hard not to eat the M&Ms. I wanted too, but I didn't!

Paper: real red, white
Ink: real red
Stamps: Holiday Best
Other: bag, ribbon, dew drops

Patterned Pines

I've been meaning to make some cards with this set but I never got around to it until now. It's a very simple card..but I like it. I stamped the sentiment at my friends house awhile ago and wasn't sure what I would do with it. I decided to add some trees {with dew drops} from SU's Patterned Pines set. I added a white satin bow with a jewel button in the center. Real red and white...that's it!

Grilled Halibut

Oh this was tasty! We fought over the last piece. One of my friends had given me some halibut from an Alaskan fishing trip so I looked up some recipes on the net and decided to give this one a try. I think Brent needs to go on a fishing trip because I want MORE!

Have some cake!

This is a popular cake made a bit lighter. I think it tastes alot like the original. Brent has never noticed it's lighter. In fact nobody has!

I should mention that you bake the cake for 35 minutes or until done....then poke the holes and pour the caramel on top. The last 10 minutes of baking you should be mixing the milk and caramel so its ready to pour when the cake is done.

We Three Kings

I made this "simple" Christmas card today. I used bashful blue, navy, and white, and added a dew drop to the star. The sentiment is embossed with silver. It was simple..but I had to redo it several times! I kept getting navy ink on the white paper. It was very frustrating! I finally figured out where the ink was coming from though. My stamp mat! So I cleaned it.

Then I decided my cave was just getting too messy and crowded..so I cleaned THAT up. It took most of the afternoon, but I actually was able to get alot done afterwards!
