Farm fresh flowers....

Look close...

and you will see the daisy's in a jar on the stand below:

Here they are!

That's what I chose as my inspiration for my daisy card at the challenge over at  Just us Girls.

I love daisy's and yes, they are probably my favorite flower. Along with lilacs. And peonies. I do like pansies....Ok... so I have a lot of favorites, I can't decide.

Flowers are all so beautiful!

I really liked the photo they chose for the challenge, I know I would stop to buy flowers from that cute stand. My problem would be deciding which ones!

My card is made with scrap pieces I found here and there. The daisy is from a box full of things I have cut out over the years. The checkered paper was in my scrap box. I used lilinkers stitched rectangles, and SU's small oval punch. The little banner peeking out from behind is from SU's bitty banners dies. The tiny sentiment is from Taylored Expressions many minis.

I tried my hand at twirling some twine to put behind the daisy like I have been seeing on quite a few cards lately. One loop slipped out and I decided I liked it that way, so I left it!

Have a great day!

A quick post.....

Hi everyone!

I  finally found some time to get a few cards done for some challenges this week!

This one I made for the challenge at Merry Monday:

Use a wreath on your card.

I still had a snowflake wreath to use, leftover from some cut outs my friend had given me...I think it's from Memory Box. I used some retired SU designer paper from last years mini, silver ribbon, brad, and a glitter snowflake. The snowflake is a punch from Martha Stewart. The sentiment is now one of my favorites from the new SU mini, Wondrous Wreath.

Ugh. I'm off to dress shop for a wedding. Wish me luck....

(I'd rather be in my craft room)

Give Thanks.....

Good Morning!
Today the sun is back and it's a bit warmer, a great day for a bike ride and walk. Which I plan to do later!

Right now I'm going to share this fall card I made for the challenge at clean and simple:

I started out with my Paper Studio wood grain folder, then used an oval nestie to cut out the center. The leaves are from IO,and the sentiment is from SU. The card stock is baked brown sugar, old olive, pumpkin pie and cherry cobbler. I wonder what the yellow is. Hmmmm. I just grabbed a scrap from my scrap box. Maybe more mustard? I'm not sure!

I added a button and some twine. This card is going in my box for a charity event, I need to add quite a few more fall cards. Maybe after my bike ride...

Have a fun day everybody!

Where is the sun?

I guess the sun is only on my card today, because it's sure not outside!

I just went to get my haircut and it's chilly. Like need a jacket chilly.

Today is the first day of school here, which always signals fall is on it's way, and the weather sure goes right along with it!

So I had to make my own sunshine.
My sunny card is made with SU's Ray of Sunshine. The only other item I used is lilinkers stitched rectangle. The inks are SU's summer sun and pumpkin pie. challenges today!
What's wrong with me?
I just didn't have time to check them all out. I have a busy couple of weeks ahead of me, so I will be hit and miss on challenges. But I hope to get a few in!

Paper Players sketch challenge

Hi everyone!

This week at Paper Players Jaydee has a sketch challenge for us:

I've been into making fall cards lately, partly because, well, it seems like fall is almost here already, and partly because I need several for a local charity event coming up. I'm donating a bunch, and they requested I include some fall cards, too.

So I grabbed the new SU in colors, blackberry bliss and tangelo twist, which seem like perfect fall colors to me, and the set,Wondrous Wreath. I stamped the wreath in hello honey, tangelo twist, and blackberry bliss. I added a few sequins for some bling. The sweet little bow is from lil inker, and the banner die from Lawn Fawn.

If you want to play along this week, head on over to The Paper Players!

Cutting Edge Blog Hop

I just saw that there was a Cutting Edge blog hop going on over at  Pretty Pink Posh.

I decided to enter one of my many haunted house cards I have been making the last few weeks. I used the Memory box Cute Cottage with Halloween Roof and Porch. The cottage has a ton of extra dies! I just bought the winter roof and the Halloween roof. I figured I probably had enough stuff in my stash that I could use already.

And I was right!

I found my Martha Stewart punch that looks like blood drips (kinda yukky, huh) for the grass, and also the MS bat punch. The stars are from a Marvy punch, and the cute skeleton is a cut out from SU. The papers were all from my scrap box. I stamped "Boo" in black Memento.

The houses take a bit of time to die cut and piece together, so it's a bit of putsy work. But I like to have something to do while I watch TV in the evenings!

One single stamp...

The challenge at Addicted to Stamps is CAS...keep it clean and simple. My fave of all cards to make!

And, I did keep it simple!

All white, with just a single image from SU"s World of Dreams set. I popped it up in the center, then used my scorepal to add a few lines on the sides for interest.

Sometimes a stamp just doesn't need much to be beautiful, and I think this set has several beautiful images in it, including this one!

Hello Sunshine....

Good Morning!

Over at Fusion I found this fun sketch:

And pared it with the inspiration photo at the Card Concept:

For this" sunny card"  I used my lawn fawn dies and Memory box sunflower die. The yellow is SU's summer sun, and the sentiment is from Ray of Sunshine. I added a couple of sequins, too.

Sure could use some sun today at the's cloudy and rainy here!

Seeing stars....

I'm seeing stars!

Stampin Up stars,that is.

I'm entering my " seeing stars" card at Pals Paper Arts sketch challenge:

And over at The Male Room, the challenge is a masculine card with stars.

I made the card with all SU products, the star die, designer paper, dots, and sentiment from Happiest Birthday Wishes. I chose the Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey colors, because they are a bit darker and I think any guy would like them.

They kind of remind me of the Minnesota Vikings colors of purple and gold, actually. I hope they do well this year. I'm not much of a football fan, but I end up watching all the games with my hubby.
AND it's much more enjoyable if they WIN!

Have a happy wonderful Christmas....

I know it's a little early for those wishes, but it's just in time for the challenge over at Festive Friday. It's Christmas there every week!

Here is the inspiration photo:

I used SU's Festive Flurry bundle along with the sentiment from Wondrous Wreath.
If you notice some gold foil mixed in there, you would be correct. For some reason, I thought the challenge included gold. So one of the snowflakes is gold foil. Oh well!
I had a hard time getting the gold to photograph, anyway, and to me it looks almost black, it's so dark.

I really liked these colors together, but if not for the challenge, would probably never have thought to use them for Christmas. You can check out the other cards here!

To the moon........

Hi everybody!

I'm just in time to enter the challenge at Paper Smooches:

And also at Lawnscaping:

Here is the inside of the card:

I used Paper Smooches Cosmos set.....I love the sentiment and sweet little moon! I also used Lawn Fawn's stitched party banner dies and Lil inker's stitched circles. The designer paper was from my scrap box, I just grabbed a few colors I thought would go together. My texture, besides the embossed stitching are some enamel dots I scattered in the sky.

Have a great Friday!
