I love the neutral colors with just the touch of pink! I used Cheery Lynn's tree...actually it's used to make a shaker tree with. But I just cut it out and inlaid it. Then I added a bow, snowflakes and sentiment. It's all backed on the embossed cable knit sweater from Stampin' Up.
I have a bunch of Minnesota cards to post....I'll start with this one today. I have several North Dakota cards too....I love Cheery Lynn state cards! I think I'll try to post one state card once a week for a while.
I cut out the MN die in some fun fish patterned paper, and added the letters MN. The sentiment,"Gone Fishin" is from the Old Barn Board set. The cute bobber is from Amy Design . I backed it all on a Lil Inker rounded stitched rectangle.
I'm still cleaning and sorting my craft cave....today I'm going over all my stamp sets. I went over them once, but I need to really dig and purge a few. (Then I can make room for more...LOL!)
...lots of shiny, bright gold on this card...you may need your sunglasses!!!
I used a piece of designer paper I bought a long time ago at a local craft store for the background. I really love the pattern on it. I added a strip of embossed white from my scrap box, and adhered the sentiment and flower from Stampin' Up's Sunshine Wishes, cut out in gold foil.
I almost forgot...I did add one pearl to the flower:)
Pretty simple card....made from scraps laying around.....I'm busy cleaning my craft cave. It's amazing what I'm finding....all kinds of fun little treasures that I have stuck away at one time or another. I'm really getting into reorganizing and sorting.
One thing I have decided to do with patterned paper that I hardly ever use..... is to cut it down into 6 x 6 squares. I store it in a clear plastic shoe box right on my desk. I really love it! I was always too lazy to get out my 12 x 12 bins to find patterned paper, now I can see it and grab it easily!
Today's challenge is to go over all my ink pads. I have tons of the older Stampin' Up pads, and I really don't care for them anymore. I prefer the new ones. Actually, if you visit my blog much, you can see that I use black ink the most....often for my sentiments.
I better get busy sorting!
But first I'll enter this in the following challenges:
I chose Clean and Simple, using a sentiment as your focal point. One of my favorite stamp companies is Penny Black. I LOVE their sentiment stamps, and have started collecting them. There's just something about the fonts they use that I really like. I chose this sentiment from their set called, "Holy Night."
I stamped it in black, and then made a frame for it with MFT's In and Out Diagonal Stitched Rectangles. I tucked a Memory Box pine branch border inside and added a few stars, and a bakers twine bow.
