Peace on earth.....Cheery Lynn Winter Neighborhood

Happy Friday!

I have a ton of stuff to do today, so this will be a quick post!

I'm entering this card at CASology:

...and also at ABC Christmas ......" UNCOLORED."

I started out by scoring a border on some white textured card stock. I added a house from a piece of the Winter Neighborhood die to an oval, and then to the card. The sentiment is from Paper trey.

I also stamped inside and added the rest of the house border:

Have a great day!

Boo!

Mornin' everyone!

I thought I would switch gears for a bit and make a few Halloween and fall cards. I followed one of my blogger friends to a new (for me) challenge blog called, Shopping your Stash." I thought it sounded like a great idea..so....

I dug into my paper stash and found some patterned paper I really like, but hardly ever use. Somewhere along the line I also bought a bunch of mini clothespins. I think I found them at Michael's. You know those bins at the front of the store? Why is it I can never leave that place without checking out all the dollar stuff in them? I'm pretty sure that's where I found them.

I'm entering this card in a couple challenges. Over at the Male Room and also at Shopping our Stash..... it's Halloween.

Have a great day!

A White Christmas

I really should start making some other cards besides Christmas! I needed a Birthday card the other day, and realized I didn't have many to choose from. BUT I have a ton of Christmas cards!!

That is no surprise, though as they are my favorite. The first thing I go to in a store is the holiday stamps and dies.

For this card I used Dee's tree dies, they are actually from a friend of mine. I think they are so pretty, and wanted them as the focus of the card. I just added a snippet of retired SU designer paper behind them. The sentiment is from Craft Lounge White Christmas, stamped in black. I added a few sequins, and there you have it..a clean and simple Christmas card!

I'm entering this at Pixie's Snippets Playground

Pixies Crafty Workshop

and also at Sparkle Creations challenge.

Have a great day!

Memory Box Christmas card

Hi everyone!

Here's the challenge this week at Merry Monday:

I see lot of pink, purple, and even a touch of blue in this photo. Very pretty!

I decided to stick with all pink.

Since I had out my Memory Box Poinsettia Bloom trio dies from a card I had just made a few days ago, I used them again for this one. I even had the pink paper still sitting there..... I'm not too good at cleaning up my messes I guess!

I inlaid the flowers, then came back with some outlines on top. A few pearls, sequins and the sentiment from SU's Wondrous Wreath, and it was done!

Also entering this at Jingle Bells:

For each card linked up, a donation will be made to the Susan B. Komen Foundation...head on over and link up for a great cause!

Paper Players silver and gold challenge

It's Sunday already, the weekend went fast. I guess we were so busy doing fall chores. Taking our dock in, cleaning gutters, all that "fun" stuff.
I did manage some time to cut out some more die cuts that I borrowed from a friend of mine. I'm pretty lucky to have friends with such awesome dies, AND willing to share!

But, today it's time for Sandy's challenge at The Paper Players!

How I LOVE silver and gold on cards!

But...... it's so hard to take a picture of the shiny foil paper. If you don't get the angle just right, it looks black, or often you can see yourself in it.
And for this card, of course, I WOULD choose silver foil paper. I used it as a border, along with SU's silver glitter paper for the word "Joy." The snowflakes are a retired die from SU. To complete the card, I just added a few silver sequins.

If you like silver and gold as much as I do, head on over to The Paper Players and play along!

Memory Box PINK Poinsettia Bloom

Over at Jingle Bells the challenge is PINK in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month.

Tuesday Throwdown has a similar challenge this week called," Awareness." You are to choose something to promote awareness..... I choose pink for breast cancer.

I used my Memory Box Poinsettia Bloom trio dies, and IO Pine sprig branches for my pink poinsettia card. The flourish is from a friend of mine called Valencia from Memory Box. . I added the sentiment from SU's Wondrous Wreath set.

Head on over and check out all the other cards!

Celebrate!

Happy Friday!

Yesterday I spent the day with a friend, and all we did was play with our dies. The big shots were crankin' away and when we were done we had lots of card candy. I can't wait to make cards with it all!

The card I'm sharing today is one I made with a few of my own new die cuts. I finally bought some balloons. Of course the first thing I did with them was to make a Birthday card!

I'm entering this in a few challenges:

Seize the Birthday..anything goes

CAS on Sunday..emboss it
