It's the most wonderful time of the year!

It's Friday and I'm pretty excited for the weekend!

I have several things planned...going to a pizza party...church bazaar, and an Arts and Craft show.

AND Christmas shopping.

It will be a fun weekend!

One of my friends bought a new Memory Box die called, "Beloved Snowflakes," that I used for this card.
I think the spray of snowflakes is SO pretty!

Over at Time Out the challenge is, "embossing with the optional of sparkle."

Grab Our Badge!

I used my Lil inker rectangles...with embossed stitching. The sentiment is form Penny Black, "Wonderful and Jolly"stamped in SU real red. I also found a piece of SU designer paper for the background and added a small pearl.

Have a great weekend!

So thankful...

Hi everybody!

Shopping our Stash has a "Thankful" theme this week.

Grab Our Badge!

I used some of my patterned paper that I found in my stash, and added the sentiment,"Thankful" cut out in gold foil from Papertrey. I also added a small Impression Obsession leaf on the side.

There is always SO much to be thankful for, but today I am especially thankful my kids will be home next week for Thanksgiving!

 I can't wait!

Have a great weekend!

Less is more....peace on earth

Good Morning!

Over at less is more the challenge is more than one tree.

We'd love you to display our banner

I found a few snippets laying on my desk from other projects for this card....the trees for one. When I'm cutting out with my dies, I will often make several of whatever I'm cutting out. You never know when you might need them...just like today!

Head on over and check out the other cards!

Paper Players...grateful for you!

This week Ann has a " thank you" for the challenge at The Paper Players:

I chose to go with the brightly colored leaves on the photo, and made a "Thanks"giving card.

Instead of using a "Thank you" sentiment, I have "Grateful" on the front, and inside it says,"for you." Below that I stamped,"Happy Thanksgiving."

The leaves are cut out with Impression Obsessions Leaves dies. I used some alcohol ink papers I had made to cut them out. (You can find out more about alcohol inks here) The word grateful is from Papertrey, cut out in gold foil.

I found some snippets in my scrap box that I thought would work well for the background..a piece of already embossed baked brown sugar, some rust, and an old piece of patterned paper. I'm entering this over at Pixie's Snippets Playground.

Head on over to The Paper Players and play along!

Pixies Crafty Workshop

The idea for this card isn't really mine, I have seen SO many cute cards using the Impression Obsession sled die, I had to make one myself. A few months ago I bought a small paper pack form Lawn fawn, so I used a piece with snow for the background. It just so happened to match my favorite Stampin Up color...Coastal Cabana. I think it pops with the snippet of black!

Have a great weekend..and stay warm!

Ho Ho Ho

Hi everybody!

Today's card is for a few challenges.... over at The Card Concept:

I chose to go with the colors...kraft, white and real red. I couldn't resist using my new Cheery Lynn Santa's Laundry die. It's adorable. One of my friends has the witches laundry die, and that's really cute, too.

I cut the die out 4 times...once in red, once in white, once with each patterned  paper. I did a bit of fussy cutting for the white trim on the coat and hat. I used a couple of black brads to hold up the line. The sentiment is from Katie and Company, stamped in black.

I'm also entering this at CASology:

This is such a fun die, I made several cards with it, and actually, I think I'll go make some more right now!

Have a great day!

Rustic Wreath for Festive Friday

Guess what? Yesterday I woke up to lightly falling snowflakes, and today a BLANKET of snow greeted me!

It's really pretty, but I need to run errands today. The first snow always brings it's problems too. Everyone forgets how to drive on it and it seems there are always fender benders. People go too fast and misjudge if it's slippery.
Oh well, guess I better get used to it along with everyone else!

Today I'm entering the challenge at Festive Friday:

Right away I noticed the wreath, of course, after all it is the focal point of the photo! I was going to go in a different direction, but then decided to make a wreath anyway. I think the photo looks kind of rustic, so I made the wreath with a rustic feel.

I'm off to run my errands.....guess I need to dig out gloves and a warmer coat.

Have a great day!
