Time for Goodbye!

Today no card to share, but instead a goodbye to blogging days and the many friends I have made along the way.

I started blogging years ago, when we became empty nesters. I didn't know what to do with myself. Then at work in the lounge I saw a Stampin' Up catty. I thought, "who would pay those kind of prices for a hobby?"

LOL!

I went to one SU class and was hooked!

Then I started blogging too, and I loved it! I had purpose and a hobby I loved to share with others. Over the years I was able to join many Design Teams and Challenges. I was also a designer for the online stores Cheery Lynn, Tutti Designs, and Frantic Stamper.

I met so many wonderful people through blogging...most I have never met in person! But blogland is a great place to make new friends who share the same interests as you.

A few years ago upon retirement, we moved closer to our kids and grandkids. We love it! But blogging is on the back burner for me...I have tried to keep it up here and there. I have cut down to one design challenge team, and Frantic Stamper is now closing their store. It seems like a good time to say goodbye.

I will still be making cards, scrapbooking and checking out blogs from time to time...and who knows? Maybe I will post a card once in awhile!

So goodbye for now!

Laurie

Oh, Laurie... I've seen more and more bloggers fading away. When I first started blogging I had a huge blog list, but now so few. I understand as I've even thought of it myself, but I don't know if it would be good for me to lose that connection. Decisions, decisions! I think you have a very good reason to step away -- enjoy those grandkids and the rest of the family, and have a wonderful life!

Sorry to see you go. I’ve always enjoyed popping into your blog to see your wonderful creations. Glad that you are enjoying the extra time you have with your family, so understanding why blogging is now on the back burner
