The Paper Players Color Challenge

Hi everyone!

Jaydee has a new color challenge for us at The Paper Players:

Pink Pirouette, Pear Pizzazz, Silver and White!

I've been on a roll making Christmas cards the last few weeks, so I decided to make one for this challenge too. I started out with some Cheery Lynn dies from their new release..the Classic Christmas Tree and the fun Snow Day Bear. I think he's so cute on his sled! I dressed him in a green plaid scarf and hat.

I backed him on a Cheery Lynn pierced circle, stamped the sentiment from Elizabeth Crafts, and added a pierced snowflake from My Favorite Things. The last thing I did was to add a few sparkly pink enamel dots for Stampin' Up.

Be sure to check out the rest of the Paper Players Design Team!

I hope you will join us!

  3. Great technique! I love how you added colored paper to this dipper. It's a bit of a riddle for me, I have to experiment some times to achieve that. I wonder if I'll be able to match you ...? I doubt :-)

  5. What a fun card! That bear on a sled is having such a great time, I can't help but smile. These colours didn't say Christmas to me but you and Annie and Joanne have showed me otherwise!

  6. What fun Laurie - that polar bear is definitely enjoying his sled ride! Love the plaid had and scarf and the pink enamel dots - a great way to accent an otherwise all-white card!

  12. Laurie, Your card is adorable. I'm working with this die right now and wonder what you did to make the black toes on the bear. I feel that the die shouldn't cut these areas out and the only way I see to fix this is to cut out small black ovals to glue behind each foot. Would you comment on how you handled this? Thanks, Carole

    1. You can cut out some black and adhere it to the back, or inlay the pieces, either works!
