I am always cooking and baking and trying new recipes so when I saw one of these recipe holders at a local store, I wanted one for my kitchen. I figured I could make one cheaper. I found an unfinished one at the Ben Franklin store for 99 cents and painted it white. I had my hubby take off the metal clip so I could trace it onto paper. Then I used Modge Podge to adhere the SU Tea Party designer paper to it, sanding the edges. I added some of the pink pirouette ribbon on the front and top. The flower I added is another one I made with a button in the middle. I used SU crystal effects to adhere it to the clipboard. {That stuff sticks...it's really strong!} It looks great on my kitchen counter!

That dp looks so pretty on your recipe card holder. And I love your ribbon/button flower. What a great way to hold your recipes while you're cooking.
This is so pretty. It's a clever idea but I could never use it in the kitchen because I would for sure mess it up the first time I used it.
