This was a fun challenge! I love to color, but am not very good at it, so I don't do it very often. But when I saw the challenge at Less is More this week was "sewing", I knew right away which stamp I would be using, and that I would be coloring the image to match the paper.
I ADORE Cosmo Cricket paper with it's bright cheery colors, and have a small collection started. One of my favorites is their "sew much more" series.
I don't sew at all, but I sure do like the designs. It reminds me of my mom and sister, who both loved to sew. In fact, my sister would sew an outfit for the county fair each summer as a 4H project. One year, she went to the State Fair. I remember because I was a little girl, and very excited to go...the whole family went to see her project on display there. I loved all the fun food at the fair, but I remember I got really tired from all the walking! Actually,my home town county fair is going on this weekend and I was thinking of running over for the day,as it'a only an hour away. But it's so hot I stayed home. It would have been fun though!
For this card, I started with Cosmo's "sew much more" paper, then tied some black bakers twine (My Minds Eye) around it. I also added a button from Papertrey. I used my SU punches for the circles. The Hero Arts sentiment is stamped with black ink from Memento.
AND I got to use my SU color pencils and blender pens to color in the image!
SEW fun!
