Happy Sunday!
We are at the lake today, and I can't believe how chilly it is. All week long the weather was hot and humid, and today we woke up to cloudy, gray skies. It rained during the night, which is great. Now I don't have to water my flower beds! Behind the house the sumac is turning a beautiful shade of red, and with this crisp, cool day I kinda feel like fall is just around the corner.
The challenge at Addicted to Stamps is "Holiday." So I chose to enter this Thanksgiving card.
Like I said, it feels like fall today!
I started out with some cream colored card stock, and my lil inker stitched rectangle die. Then I adhered a panel of plaid paper in fall colors. I found it in my scrap box, which contains all sizes and bits of treasured designer paper, leftovers from projects.
I cut out a few leaves with my IO leaf dies, and added a lawn fawn banner at the side. The center of my card is the artisan label punched sentiment from SU's" Label Love" set.
Because the paper is textured, the sentiment has a cool look to it:
I really liked it, and think I will stamp more often on textured card stock!
