The new embossing folders and plates are awesome!

The plates allow you to emboss only the area's that you want too, so each one has tons of options! To find out more about how to use them here's a great video.

I'm showcasing the Hula Flowers folder and the circle plates. Here's a look up close of the beautiful embossing:

I embossed, then cut out the circle with Cheery Lynn's Circle pierce and cut tool, added some greens with the Floral Bouquet kit, and Butterfly #5. The plaid papers were also cut with the largest of the circles to make the rounded bottom border:

For this second card I also used the IEO circle plates, just embossing the bottom corners and leaving off the sentiment.

Here's a close up of the embossing on the bottom corners:

To do this, I followed the sandwich on the video, putting the plate on top of what I wanted embossed....

....in this case, just over the corners, so they would show up on the card and nothing else.

I'm not sure which one I like best:

Here is the list of Cheery Lynn dies I used:

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Two beautiful cards; I like the one with the embossed flowers at the bottom a tiny bit more just because those flowers are so delicate and add a touch of elegance. There is still room for a small greeting if one is needed.
