The challenge at Dies R Us is layers. I knew right away I wanted to use Sue Wilson's Shadow Box dies. The card below features the New Arrival Shadow Box, and the other one is the Christmas Shadow Box. You can see that the differences are in the stitching and the size and shape of the boxes. There are some great tips and examples on how to make these that you can watch here.
Each set comes with some fun dies to fill in the boxes. For example, the New Arrival has some cute baby pins, bottle,feet, letters and buttons. You can also buy small sets in different themes for the boxes, like You are a Star,Thanks a Latte, Retail Therapy...there are a bunch of them!
But this time for my cards, I used some Cheery Lynn fishing dies.
I really had fun making these for my son and son in law. They both love to fish!
I used some plaid paper for behind the boxes, and I also set it on a piece of fun foam to give it some dimension.
