Brown Paper Packages tied up With Strings...

Hi everyone!

I have a fun set of cards to share with you today. I got the idea from Jennifer Mcguire's video on two for one backgrounds. In her video, she used Concord and 9th's ornament and I used the tree. She also stamped her own plaid background, and I used some designer paper. You could do this with so many different dies....be sure to watch the video for ideas!

The sentiment is from a song in a fave movie of mine....The Sound Of Music.

Here are the lyrics:

Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favorite things
Cream colored ponies and crisp apple strudels
Doorbells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings
These are a few of my favorite things
Girls in white dresses with blue satin sashes
Snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes
Silver white winters that melt into springs
These are a few of my favorite things
When the dog bites
When the bee stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
And then I don't feel so bad.

You can listen to the song here.

While I was listening to the song, I embossed the sentiment in white, and splattered some paint drops on with a toothbrush.

Then of course....I tied on a string!!!!

I'm entering this at:

PJ, the stamps are listed in my supply list at the bottom of my post. They are from Papertrey and if you google it, it will pop up, and you can start shopping...LOL! Very reasonable...only $5 for that sentiment!!! It comes in 3 pieces, and includes some smaller ones with it too, like a string and snowflake. Have fun!
