Happy 4th of July Card Set

Hi everyone!

Next week is 4th of July, so I've been making some cards to celebrate the occasion. I love all the parades, fireworks and people coming together to celebrate this great country.

My family always went on a picnic to our local park.  I have lots of good memories swimming, playing catch, throwing a Frisbee around...and of course grilling hot dogs...oh...and eating juicy watermelon!!   And mom's potato salad....can't forget that! Then the day ended with watching the town fireworks. I kept the same traditions with our kids, and they still remember the awesome fireworks our little town provides.

For my card set I used Taylored Expressions Starry Night cutting plate, and cut it out in several patriotic colors. I added Cheery Lynn's Proud USA die on all of them. For some of the cards I adhered Technique Tuesdays HOME die and the letters USA from Cheery Lynn. The sentiments are all from different companies.

Here they are close up:

I'm entering these at:

Simon says Wednesday (anything goes)

Little Red wagon (summer fun days)

Shopping our Stash (red white blue)

Word Art Wednesday (anything goes)

Here's a list of supplies:

Paper: SU
Ink: SU
Stamps: Paper Smoochies, Taylored Expressions
Dies: Cheery Lynn Proud USA, Lie's a Beach, Technique Tuesday HOME die

Wow, these are all awesome cards for the 4th, and if you're now sending them out to the family every year it's a wonderful part of the tradition. I regret to say that July is our most windy month of the summer so picnics and barbeques are not as pleasant. By nightfall it's pretty chilly. Watching fireworks in your car (if you can get a good vantage point) is not the same. Thankfully, when our son was growing up we lived a bit further inland and could actually enjoy our 4th of July tradition. I'm rambling. Catching up after being away on vacation... where it was very warm and nice.
