Best Witches

Here is another card I made using the Halloween cut-outs. I added orange glitter glue to the SU Cast a Spell paper. I REALLY like all the sheets of paper that come in the pack. Usually there's always one I'm not fond of..but not this time. I've been enjoying making Halloween projects with it!

Match box treats

I don't have SU's matchbox die so I followed the directions for them on this blog: http://inkingidaho.blogspot.com/2009/02/few-more-valentines-gifts.html These were the first ones I made, they got easier the more I made. {I'll post some of the others I made another day.} Yes, I did eat some of the Hershey nuggets as I made them...I have NO will power!

Sympathy..on eagles wings

I had stamped some extras of this verse to make more cards later. Well...it was later... so I made them! For this one I used some of my fave Parisian Breeze paper. I was just talking to a friend about that paper. We wished SU was still selling it. We should have ordered an extra pack!

Glory to God

I made this 3x3 gift card to go with some Christmas wrap I bought last year on sale after Christmas. I have a box of Christmas tags and gift cards that I keep adding too. I used most of them last year so I'm trying to build it up again.

I also have a box of tags that I have already used...I can't seem to throw them away! After my family opens gifts I make a pile of the tags and ribbon. At least I'm not as bad as my mom...she saved all the paper too!

Silent Night

I've been going through my Christmas stamps and found a set I bought at a craft store back when I first started stamping. It has mostly words...I never used the Silent Night stamp, so I decided it was time. I opened my new SU Merry Moments paper and saw this snowflake paper. Love the chocolate chip! I traced around the snowflakes with a gold glitter pen...then added some to the S on the Silent Night. I chose a pearl brad that has a bit of gold on it, too. I always have so much fun making Christmas cards. I have to say they are my favorite!

Vintage Christmas....

More cut-outs! There's just something about these vintage cut-outs I really like. Perhaps its cuz I work in a vintage gift shop in the summers? I don't know... but when I see them I have to have them.

I have a Halloween page and now the Christmas page. I plan to use each and every one on those sheets. They are just too cute not to use. {besides like any good craft hoarder I have another stashed a way anyway}

Halloween Bar

Guess what? When I made some candy the other day, I bought the wrong kind of bar. It had almonds and toffee bits in it and I needed plain for the recipe. So I took this bar and got it ready for a Halloween gift before I ate it myself. I used some of those cute Halloween cut-outs.

Give Thanks

At last months card club I bummed some leaves off one of the girls. She had punched a whole bunch for a card that nite but there were alot left over. As soon as I saw them I knew I wanted to make a wreath out of them. I love the Give Thanks stamp...it just stamps so clean and I like the leaves on it. I used some Non SU patterned paper..you cant see it very well, but there are leaves on that too. Such pretty paper. I love this time of year and making fall cards!

Pick of the Patch

I found these great Halloween cut-outs at a local craft store...so cute...I thought they'd be fun for several projects I had in mind. I decided to use one for this card. I love the little girl peeking around the pumpkin! The paper is from the SU designer paper cast-a-spell. I really like the colors and patterns.

Dress card

One of my friends saw this dress card on the Explore Dream Discover blog and sent me the link. Funny...I saw it too and had thought it was so cute! I just had to case it. It's not exactly like Barbs...hers is AWESOME! But I had fun making them. I used the square punch for the top part and just cut out the neck. The skirt is made using the large oval punch. For the hanger I used part of a branch stamp and a part of a curl stamp for the top. I think the polka dots are so sweet!

Paula....again!

Mmmm. I love potato salad! This one is a bit different though ...it has no eggs and just one tablespoon of mayo..more olive oil instead. It's another recipe from Paula Deene. {my idol} It's a winner. We loved it!

Masculine Birthday

I'm still playing with the Inspired by Nature set. For this 5x5 card I used the grass stamp. I added some cattails with my horizontal slot punch, and did a bit of chalk for the water. The loon is a non-SU stamp. I have a few Birthdays coming up in November so I'm getting a jump on them now!

Birthday treat...

Here is yet one more box in a bag I made. This one is made from retired SU paper and ribbon. I can remember how I just loved Wild Wasabi when it first came out and used it all the time! I still like it and dug some out from my stash for this bag. Cara-Choco Bars are delish! Brent brought this recipe home a long time ago from work. He's always bringing home recipes...but they are always LOADED with calories! I saved this one for a time when I knew we'd have company to make them. Good thing too or we'd eat the whole pan!

September Card Club

Wow, what great cards we made this month! A bunch of us get together every month and take turns making a "shoebox" with all the materials in it to make a card. We pay each person a dollar to make the card. It's always fun and very interesting to see what cards people come up with. This card is made with leftover envelopes. That's right...the blue on the inside of regular envelopes! Mona cut them into strips and then we folded them. The sailboat was already cut out for us, so we just taped the strips on the back. Really clever! The inside is stamped with, " Wishing you calm seas and a gentle breeze."

Isn't this a cute baby card? It's made with a large die...run through the big shot. I love the little brads on the bottom! Inside it says,"Ten fingers and ten toes, so small and brand new."

We didn't have to do much for this card..all the leaves were already punched out for us. What an awesome fall Birthday card.


Here's another fun fall card we made with the pumpkin embossing folder. We used chalk to add a little color. The pumpkin is made with the oval punch.


This last card was a sympathy card. You could choose the background paper and how many stars you wanted to have on it. I love that verse!

Well that's it until October. It's my turn so I need to get cracking and come up with an idea!

Top note Christmas

I have always liked this tree....but never ordered the Lovely as a Tree set. My friend bought it at a garage sale this summer so I borrowed it to make a few cards. I love old olive and real red together. I added some chocolate chip striped ribbon and a pearl brad. The tag is punched out with the oval and scallop oval punches. The sentiment is stamped with real red from the Best Yet retired set.

I am hoping to get my September card club post done soon. We made some fun cards. It's been busy with the start of the new school year!

Back to school...

Who wouldn't like some chocolate the first day of school? I made this for a friend I work with..kind of a thank you plus a welcome back after the summer. Here's whats inside:

Birthday Celebrations

I needed to make a Birthday card for a friend, so I chose the Upsa Daisy set and made this card. I have had her present for a long time but never got it over to her on her REAL birthday...so today she will finally get it. Better late than never I guess! I chose the retired colors baja breeze and pacific coast as they went perfect with my gift bag. I added some glitter to the flowers..it doesn't show well on this photo, though. I hope she likes it!

Classic Lemon Bars

I love 'em! Lemon bars a favorite of mine. This is a recipe I use often..I always have the ingredients on hand. That shortbread crust just melts in your mouth!
