Card Swap

Hi! Today I am posting the cards I got from the card swap at work. This month we made sympathy cards. Mine is the one below. I made a similar card that I posted last week using my new favorite SU stamp set,"Thoughts and Prayers." I LOVE the tree and the sentiments are just exactly what I want to say for a sympathy or get well message. My favorite is the sympathy message, "Praying for friends to comfort you, faith to uphold you, and loving memories to heal your heart."

This card had the same sentiment as mine inside. I really like the distressed look and the color combo on the paper.

The pink card was made with Thoughts and Prayers set, too. The branch with flowers is the other side of the tree stamp. She put some glitter on the pink flowers so they really sparkle! The blue card was made with some glitter paper. I like how she tore the paper around the stamped image.

The swirls on this navy card were stamped with paint. She couldn't find her white ink so she improvised. It looks great!

I love the sweet little flower on the top card. Inside it says, "There is comfort in friendship, hope in prayer, peace in love. Sharing in your sorrow with love and friendship." I like the die cut flower on the card on the bottom card, too. It has some textured paper underneath..very pretty.
"Perhaps they are not stars..." I liked the gold with the navy and craft paper. Really a sharp color combination.

I always love card swaps. It's fun to see everybody's ideas! Next month it's Thankyou cards. I'll have to see what I can come up with!
