Impression Obsession Hollyhocks

Hi everyone!

I can't believe it's Sunday already! Where did the week go?

Before we know it summer will be over. I better get going on my summer bucket list, I have a few more to cross off. I need to have a fire and make some smores, go to Itasca park, bike on nearby Heartland trail, eat at several restaurants nearby, and the list goes on!!!

Sunday also means it's time for the The Paper Players, and here is Jaydee's color challenge:

I really like this color combo! I love the new SU mint color. (NOT as much as Coastal Cabana though!)

Just so happens that I had a 40% off coupon for a new die at our local craft store, so I bought the Impression Obsession Hollyhocks. I didn't have much time to play with it, but I did cut out a few with the challenge colors as I had the paper laying there ready to make a card for this week.

I thought they looked nice as a bouquet just laying there!

So I decided to go ahead and make a CAS card with them. I adhered them onto a strip of DP. The sentiment is from Hero Arts Phrases and stamped in black on a pierced label from MFT Blueprints #20. It's popped up so I could tuck the flowers underneath.

Be sure to check out what the rest of the team made!

Paper: SU white, mint macaroon, smokey slate, Sahara Sand, DP
Ink: SU black
Stamps: Hero Arts Phrases
Dies: IO Hollyhocks, MFT Blueprints #20

Laurie, your bouquet that was "just laying there" is absolutely perfect! Those die cuts are gorgeous and they look wonderful layered up in the challenge colors.

I'm late with my comments on this one Laurie - too busy packing for summer vacation, at least for me this week summer is finally beginning! I love this CAS card - the bouquet of hollyhocks is lovely and so versatile, and great against the grey background DSP strip.
