Taylored Expressions.... Berry Special

I DO love the red, white, and blue!

That's the color challenge LeAnne has for us at The Paper Players this week:

So many ways to go with this one!

I just had to use these cute lil Memory Box cherries laying on my desk. I decided that would be my red, and backed them onto a diagonal stitched rectangle from My Favorite Things. Then I backed that onto a Lil Inker stitched rectangle. I also added some blue gingham paper behind it all. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions called Berry Special, stamped in black.

I'm kind of into fruit lately...making cards with it and EATING it! The last bunch of grapes and cherries I had were so sweet and delicious. In a few weeks it will be strawberry picking time up here....can't wait! Maybe you will be seeing a strawberry card here soon......

You can check out the rest of the design team here:

The cherries are so good this time of year and yummy. Your happy card makes me want to run back to the grocery store! I love the different stitching on your mats and the gingham paper with the cherry images.

I do love a good punny sentiment and those cherries certainly look good enough to eat Laurie! Perfect with the gingham blue border too. The cherries are not ready for picking here in the UK yet, however today I harvested our huge rhubarb plants and made rhubarb cordial for the first time - delicious!

This is a cherry good card...I love it! I remember making a similar card many years ago, and it is still one of my favorites! I used buttons for my cherries though! It's delicious! And I can't wait to see your strawberry creation coming up!
