Cheery Lynn Minnesota.....love brings us home

Hi everyone!

I have been super busy this week, but decided to take a quick break to share another Cheery Lynn state card. This time my home state.... Minnesota!

For this card, the designer paper is the star! I found this piece at our local craft store, and when cut just right....the hiker fits perfectly on the MN die.

The sentiment from Technique Tuesday's "Home Is" stamp set is so perfect for the images on the paper. I added a few leaves from Impression Obsession, and a small heart near where our hometown is.

This card is for my son, and I have another I will be posting sometime soon that I made for my daughter. They both live out of state, but Minnesota is always home! I love that they still think that, and say it to me often!
Here is a picture of them at home this summer with their Grandma. Love did bring them home...as they came home especially to see her, as she was recently diagnosed with lung cancer.

We had so much fun going to all their favorite places and sharing childhood memories.

Hopefully we will all be together for the holidays again soon!

Have a great day!

Wonderful card Laurie - I do love those 'state dies'! Wish we had county ones for the UK - mind you, every so often out counties and borders go through minor changes so there could be some snipping to be done :)

What a great photo of your Mum and your grown up children - a lovely family!

This is lovely, Laurie. I don't know if I've told you this before, but I'm actually from Duluth. Naturally, this card really caught my eye. I'm just blown away with your amazing talents, and can't thank you enough for sharing with us. It's such a blessing to have you play along, and I sincerely hope that you will join us again soon.
Blessings,
