Taylored Expressions Life is a Kitchen

Over at Stamps Ink Paper it's my fave challenge again:

sip-challenge-68
While I do have quite a few favorite stamps,  I have to say to say I really like this kitchen set from Taylored Expressions.
I LOVE to cook so I'm always in the kitchen cookin' up something...so I HAD to have this sentiment. And the dies that came with it of course.
LOL!

I love plaid paper too and collect quite a stash of it.
I really like this one with the blues and greens:

I added a twine bow, and backed it all on a piece of crumb cake for a county feel.

If my mom was still living, this card would be for her. She loved the kitchen too, and I am very happy she spent so much time with me teaching me how to cook. Today would have been her Birthday, and although she has been gone so many years, I still miss her so much!

Have a great day!

Paper: SU , patterned
Ink:SU black
Stamps: TE Life is a kitchen
Dies: TE life is a kitchen border, MFT pierced squares

Most wonderful sentiment and die together! Now I'm sorry I didn't pick this die up Monday when I was out shopping. I thought it was so cute, but didn't see the stamp set. Love the plaid and twine, too. My mom wouldn't teach me to cook, but I learned anyway and I do so enjoy trying new recipes. Savory is my favorite. She's gone, too, and I still miss her.

Great card Laurie - everything about it just goes together so well. And such sweet words about your Mom - I think we never find anything to fill the hole in our heart that is left by our Mothers.

Lovely to see you in the Playground, sorry for being late, I'm playing catch up right now!

Hugs

Di xx

That is a wonderful sentiment. Love how you used the die cut as a vertical border, and the plaid paper makes me smile! So glad you shared your art at WAW. May God bless you in a special way as you think of your mom.
