Cheery Lynn Home for Christmas in MN

This week at The Paper Players Claire has a Clean and Simple Christmas challenge for us:

One of my favorite childhood memories is going with my family to cut down a tree for Christmas in northern Minnesota. We would all pile into the car in our warmest clothes and Dad would drive out in the woods to a Christmas tree farm. There we would trudge through the snow looking for just the right tree. When we brought it home, mom would have popcorn and hot cocoa waiting for us. What awesome memories that I will always treasure!

When I saw Taylored Expressions Little Bit's" Tis the Season" cute car and tree, I had to have it!
I plan to make several of these cards for my family members.

I backed it on Cherry Lynn's MN state die with a wreath from Reverse Confetti. The sentiment is from Reverse Confetti's Winter Words. The " home" die cut is from Technique Tuesday.

This is a super cute card with those little cat and tree die cuts Laurie - I love that you could personalise it with the state behind too. What fun memories in your post today too - I love holiday traditions like this!

What a super and clever idea using your state die as part of your Christmas design. I like what you did with the dies too. Dies are relatively new to me so I am not always sure how to use them. But you are an inspiration. And I love the story behind it as well.

I love this with the state tucked into the wreath! Nothing like the day you bring home the tree!
