Hi everyone!
This week I am the hostess at The Paper Players and I chose:
I really love to bake!
Especially at Christmas. I fact, I share my recipes at my other blog, Cookin' Up North. Here are a few of my holiday faves:
I could go on and on, as those are just a few. I love to try new recipes too, so it seems I am always cooking or baking!
For my card I used the cupcake from Cheery Lynn, in reds and greens. My theme was the holly as you can see, with a tiny bit of holly on the cupcake itself, and some tucked under the stitched rectangle panels. You can also find it on the cupcake liner. The sentiment is from Happy Little Stampers.
I'm really looking forward to your cards in the gallery, and the baking card ideas you come up with. I'm hoping some of you even share a favorite Christmas recipe along the way!
Be sure to check out the rest of the Paper Players Design Team:
I hope you will join us!

Laurie, such a GREAT idea for this week's challenge! Your card is amazing! Your icing die is so intricate and it is gorgeous in red and green! The holly on the side showcases this yummy cupcake perfectly! Thanks for sharing your recipes. My mom always made peanut brittle and I miss that. I will try a few of your recipes if I ever find time to bake! Have a wonderful week, My Friend! XX
Your reds and greens are so rich and pretty on this. Love the cute papers and your mini and maxi holly. Super design and inspiring as always! Okay... I've been over at your cooking blog looking at nummy recipes. I always start with the baking and candy making closer to Christmas, after the card making, shopping, cleaning and decorating are done. So busy!!
Fabulous card Laurie...what a bright cheery card and lovely design. Your pictures of what you bake make me hungry...bet your house smells lovely with all the baking. xx
Wow! All those yummy recipes! They look delicious! But I love your card you made with that cute cupcake die. That is the kind that does not pack on the pounds either! I love your festive colors too! Great yummy card!
I don't know how you have time to bake when you are constantly whipping out cards like crazy and they are all so pretty. Love the bold green and red on the white and that paper for the cupcake wrapper ties it all together perfectly. Your recipes look so good but I am trying to not eat a lot of sugar so this is a hard time of year for me. Your photos are so tempting though.
That die cut cake is just amazing - so pretty. The holly on the side is... the icing on the cake! Your recipes look fabulous and I'm going to explore them once school finishes. I think the vibrant colours you've chosen to use are fantastic.
Fabulous card and wonderful looking cookies and candy. I must check out some of these recipe.
This card is just gorgeous Laurie - a jolly holly work of art! I love all the little details that your card contains and that colour scheme is so festive! Those recipes look yummy - Rebecca and I are going to try some of them next week, so thanks for sharing! What a fun challenge this week.
Amazing Christmas card, Laurie! The green and the red are perfect together!
Such a sweet cupcake ~ Your card is wonderful! I'm going to check out some of your recipes too. When I saw Lefsa at the top of the list, I just smiled. I've been making Lefsa since I was very young and my Grandmother taught me. One of my favorites at the holidays! Hope you're having a great week!
Oh my, I love this cupcake die! I was wishing I had something similar. Love the cheerful holly berries and that fun paper. What a collection of amazing recipes you have--I'll bet your kitchen smells wonderful!
This was such a fun challenge Laurie! Fabulous card! Hmmm... I think you need to teach me some baking tips!
Laurie this was such a fun challenge! Yes, great minds think alike, and how can you go wrong with a cupcake?! Thanks for sharing so many amazing recipes. I've pinned quite a few of your recipes already, and I'm sure I'll be adding a few more today!
