Jaydee is the hostess this week at The Paper Players with a fun sketch for us!
Lately I have been into making cards with Washi tape, and I just got some from Altenew in the mail.....very wide washi! I decided one of the rolls would work well for this sketch.
I love the wide washi..it's really fun to work with. One roll is even so wide it's like wallpapering...it covers the whole card!
I took a piece of the soft blues, pinks and golds washi and placed it across the card. Then I cut out 2 flowers from Stampin Up's Sunshine Sayings Bundle and adhered them onto the card. I added a sentiment cut out in gold foil.
I decided to make another, this time vertical, using the same set from Stampin' Up.
I hope you will join us! Check out the rest of the design team here:

both of these are so pretty, Laurie - just ordered that washi tape so thanks for the inspiration.
Your cards are pretty, as well as dainty. I love the colors you chose and that use of washi tape is perfect.
You have a real gift when it comes to card making. How amazing that your background is Washi tape! Dang! Love the words die cut in gold. You really captured the beauty of them in your photos. Awesome cards, Laurie!
WOW, Laurie! These are fabulous! I didn't realize that there was Washi tape that wide. I just love it! I also love your interpretation of the sketch! Fabulous cards! The gold sentiments are lovely! Have a great week, Birthday Girl! XX
That is so gorgeous and I had no idea there was Washi Tape that wide. I would love to find some like that. And, you used it so well with the beautiful floral dies and gold die cut sentiment.
Both are so pretty, Laurie. That washi tape really makes it look like you did a lot of stamping........amazing. And I love the colors you have chosen too.
Super card, Laurie, love the pastel colours with the pop of gold. The wide washi tape was a great find. xx
Both of your cards are lovely Laurie - I've never seen such wide washi tape before, it's amazing! Makes for a great background to your flower diecuts. Great job!
These are just wonderful! I've been wondering what you'd done in the background - wide washi - I've never encountered it before but this is magnificent. I have this set and I've seldom used the flowers. I love what you've done with them, especially the first one.
Fabulous cards Laurie..........what pretty washi tape...looks like a watercolour background, such lovely soft colours and love your flowers and sentiment on the top...beautiful design. xx
Hmmm Laurie,
I’ve honestly not been a big fan of washi - other than to seal my card envelopes lol, but you could make me fall in love with this wide stuff. The pastels perfectly match your florals. Nice touch with the golden die cut words!
Wonderful cards! I like how you interpreted the sketch and I really thought the washi was a stamped background! It's beautiful! I hope you're having a great week ~ Hugs, Annie.
So creative to use that flower die to create a bow... all the elements are perfect!
Another fabulous pair of cards, Laurie. I love the background papers and gold sentiments.
