The Paper Players Color Challenge

Claire has a fun color challenge for us at The Paper Players:

I used the colors with some new dies Cheery Lynn has just released from their retro line. The dies all remind me of the show Happy Days, which was my favorite growing up.... I had a crush on the Fonz! LOL!

This is the cast:

Here's the link to the theme song too...... which now I have running through my head!

So many cute retro dies in this release, (you can check them out here) but I chose to work with the car today. I LOVE the dice hanging in the window!!!

First I cut and pieced the car and adhered it onto MFT's Blueprint #20 stitched rectangle. I wanted my scene to have a happy, sunny feel, so I used Cherry Lynn's Sun and Clouds to tuck behind the car. The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions Keep on Truckin', stamped in black. The COOL on the licence plate is also from Cheery Lynn....the Retro Rhetoric dies...lots of fun sentiments in that set!!! I also added a few hearts in the challenge colors here and there.

As you can prolly tell, I had lots of fun with the challenge colors. I can't wait to see what everyone creates!

I hope you will join us!

This is a bright and fun card - it really caught my eye when I saw it on my blogger reading list.

BTW - Did you know that Henry Winkler (Fonz) is very well-known amongst British kids today as he plays a cool teacher on a children's TV show?

This card would fit perfectly for the new Library challenge , https://thelibrarycraftchallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2018/05/challenge-7-brideshead-revisited.html
I'd love you to check it out.

Laurie, this is SOOOOO COOL! I love retro anything and this makes me smile! I am singing the Happy Days song with you! I am so excited you used something other than flowers! The dice in the window and the fun license plate are so GROOVY! Thank you for making my color combo shine! I hope you have a lovely week, My Friend!

Didn't well all love the Fonz?! Henry Winkler has also written a series of children's books for reluctant readers, so he's turned out to be a man of many talents. I like this set and to see the colours used in a non-floral way! Very nice, Laurie.

What a fantastic card design with that retro car on it. Love the colors too. And, yes, now I am having that theme song going through my head now too. LOL

It's so easy to spend money when I see something like this. This car and the kitchen set, especially... oh, my gosh. The sun and clouds make this even happier, and how you've placed them is just darling. Love the jaunty angle of the car, the perfect sentiment. Such a happy card!
