Jaydee's challenge at The Paper Players is,"It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas."
It sure is!
I have my decorations up, and am starting some baking already. I even have most of my shopping done. I love Christmas time!
I decided to make a Christmas card with one of my friends nativity border dies....I cut it out in black, and just used the wise men part.
I took my distress inks and made a background, then cut it out with Taylored Expressions Starry Night cover plate. I adhered the wise men at the bottom.
I stamped the sentiment with a wood stamp I had bought at Hobby Lobby quite a few years ago....then I cut it out with Tutti's dotted square die. I also added a few gems.
Here's a list of the supplies I used:
Paper: SU
Stamps: Hobby Lobby
Ink: SU black, distressed inks
Dies:Taylored Expressions Starry Night cover plate, Tutti Designs dotted squares, Lidestyle crafts nativity border
Other: jewels

Laurie you are so organised - I am green with envy! I love your card - the background is stunning and your card really is so fitting for our theme this week.
What a beautiful card, Laurie! I just love the scene you created with the starry sky and the silhouette’s of the wise men. That sentiment stamp is gorgeous, as well. Such a gorgeous Christmas card to celebrate the season.
Shopping done already?! I've barely made a list! Love the silhouette of the wise men and camel. Such a traditional image but oh, so very lovely.
What a lovely scene you've created! I like the starry sky, but you really had me at those silhouettes! Beautiful!
This is simply beautiful and, WOW, you just gave me an idea for some new dies I bought for next year's easy Christmas cards! Thanks! I haven't done anything yet but make cards, and still in the process of mailing them. I MUST do better next year!
Laurie... great naivety dies! I will have to check Lidestyle out... I love how the sentiment seems to be so integral to your scene... it all just works perfectly.
Laurie, this is just beautiful! Your background is gorgeous, and perfect for the silhouette images.
