Happy 40th!

The challenge at The Paper Players is, "play it by numbers."

I used some numbers from Spellbinders, fun images from Cheery Lynn, and a sentiment from Stampin Up to make my Birthday card. Quick and easy!!

Dies R Us Masculine

The challenge at Dies R Us is,"One for the Boys!"

Our Challenge Blog

I used some Tutti Designs dies and made a nautical card. I found some fun paper in my scrap box for the background.

Tutti Designs - Dies - Seashell Lighthouse

I cut out the lighthouse, did some paper piecing and adhered it onto the card.

Tutti Designs - Scalloped Stitched Nesting Circles

Then I cut out a scalloped circle and stamped the sentiment in the middle.

Dies R Us Masculine Challenge

Hi everyone!

Dies R Us Challenge is all about masculine."

Our Challenge Blog

I used some awesome dies from Frantic Stamper:

Frantic Stamper - Dies - Western Cowboy

Frantic Stamper - Dies - Desert Sunset Panel

These make for some great cards!
I used various colors of alcohol ink papers I had made to piece the Dessert Sun Panel together. The cowboy was cut out in black, and also the frame of the dessert panel. I added the sentiment embossed in white, also from Frantic Stamper.

Dies R Us Challenge

Hi everyone!

The Dies R Us Challenge is all about "one for the men/boys."

Grab our Badge!

I grabbed one of my alcohol ink backgrounds and Frantic Stampers fishing plate die. It makes such fun and easy cards! Perfect for the guys!

I used just one color of ink and swiped it across my glossy paper. I like how it looks for the sky and the reflection on the lake.

Dies R Us "What's Your Number?" Challenge

Time for the "What's Your Number?" challenge at Dies R Us!

Grab our Badge!

I thought about clocks right away. Then I remembered I had this awesome Pocket Watch die from Amy Design.

Perfect!

I cut the watch out in black and adhered it onto some Tutti Designs Dotted Nesting Circles. I pulled the colors from the strip of patterned paper I used at the bottom of the card.

I thought the paper was so cute...I also stamped the sentiment right onto the striped part of the paper. Using my Misti, I was able to get it dark enough to show well. Inside I stamped, "Happy Birthday."

I can't believe it's almost Father's Day! This summer is flying by. I'm glad I had this card already made and ready to go. I haven't had much time in my craft room lately.

Cheery Lynn Football Helmets for The Paper Players

 Hi everyone!

Today Nance has a fun sketch for us at The Paper Players:

The past few weeks I have been making a few cards to put away for my kids. This one is for my son, who loves to play fantasy football. Of course, growing up in MN, the Vikings are one of his favorite teams.

I found a set of paper at our local craft store I was SO excited about! It's from Scrapbook Customs, and has 12 sheets of double sided Vikings Pride Football paper. The store also carried a MN Twins pack. The paper is such a high quality, and the designs so much fun! I found a link here if you are interested....looks like they make several teams.

For this card I used 3 pieces of the paper. The helmet and footballs are from Cheery Lynn's sport die set. I had to free hand the famous Vikings horn, and adhere it to the helmet.

I think my son will get a kick out of opening this card next fall...and I have a feeling I'll even make it on his frig!!!
